What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Primble, very nice pic as always! I am trying my best to resist buying a single-blade sawcut Charlow today and you are not making it any easier. ;)

I was hoping to find a third cut stag that was a consistently lighter color with minimal amber. I think I got a winner.

This nail nick clip goes really well with my long pull ebony two blade (clip & pen).

^^^^^ Nice 3rd cut stag! Thanks for the comments Gevo and addylo! :)

Wow those are fine looking knives on this page.

They don't last long; you have to be on your toes to catch them when they are released.

You guys take way better pics than I do!
I used to archive scans, but now I use everyone's various pictures. Then I can remember who took them!
I too await the tri-pic Primble!
Thanks for all the efforts everyone! It takes time and dedication to do these mini works of art!!

My trio of Stew's blades. Never gonna be as good as Primble's photos.
And that's the last I'll see of them together as today the red sawcut is headed back to America to a very helpful lady who was nice enough to read my signature line and respond. Thanks P!

Durn. Not only does Primble use great backgrounds with perfect natural lighting but I just noticed what kind of camera he shoots with.
I could only dream.

We need you for more important things than taking pictures Charlie - like designing our next knife/knives and maybe a Beerlow or maybe a Harnesslow. :D

Besides - you have all the best (and most) knives and all you have to do is drop them in that scanner to get us to oohh and aahhh. :D

We have to work harder for comments on our old clunker knifes, maybe our Charlows being the exceptions.:D

I just noticed it looks like Wednesday the Chestnut Stew's Blade will be here, so the trio pics will come after that.;)

Nice to see the three Stew's Blades Linus. Congrats on your trade? ~ P. doesn't miss a trick - nor word! :D

Thank you addylo and you don't need any photo lessons - your pics are always really nice. My ole camera is getting to be a dinosaur, like me, but, it can still do a decent job.
It is left over from my years in the woods, chasing critters around for pics.

I received my red clip two blade TC yesterday, wow it's great! Then I get a message that my Walnut two blade as made it in and now should be on it's way to my door! Pics to come when it lands.

Radio Knife + Charlow = Beerlow?

Is this some kind of new math? I like it.

I know it is not exactly what you envisioned, Charlie...

But the Cheerlow/Beerlow needs to happen! Maybe it's not strictly traditional, but I like to think that the cutlers of the past would be enthusiastic about a screwdriver and cap lifter. I almost never use my secondary small pen blades. But the screwdriver-cap lifter is used almost daily.

I respectfully submit my request. :)

Yes please, mark me down for one with a clip!

Here's a pic with blades open:
A Beerlow sounds like a good idea to me... :D

I like the digital art too - nice and the Beerlow idea too.:thumbup:

I think the old timey cutlers would have made them in a second, if they had thought of it, or if they thought the market was there for it. ;)

If Waynorth does ever decide to go for it, I hope he orders a lot of them, so they are not all gone in 30 minutes, or if you blink!:D

and a bunch of them in antique yellow saw-cut bone.
