What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Traditionally, Barlows were knives any man and most boys could afford. A common knife for the common man --- those are the ones that really turn my crank.

Primble Sir - in the dark of night I heard rattling in the secret place where the precious ones are kept. .....,

I carefully cleared the area and the box where Two such Primbles live was bouncing around Sir. It was like a scene from Harry Potter - they are at unrest- you know what needs to happen Sir.

Thank you Duncan and it is ironic that in the dark of the night - just one night past - I heard a similar sound. A tube, where a close relative to the knife on the bottom picture, was vibrating on my kitchen table. :eek::D
 
A lot of things make a good barlow, but WHO makes a good barlow? Waynorth and the crew at GEC, that much we know for darn sure!
