What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Just curious, are the TC's a bi-annual release usually in the early spring and late summer?

Thanks.

TLU, they come about when GEC has room in its schedule, and the thought process and brainstorming for the "next one" all come together.
There is no hard and fast timing.
I hope the next one will be early next year. February maybe??

Thanks Charlie.

Can't wait to see what the next release brings.

I'm fairly new to these, and already addicted.

I greatly appreciate the effort you give forth.

Barry, did that knife actually come through that color, or is there a whiff of photoshop in the air? It's pretty cool!!
Deserves a mayo patina!!
:D

I'm not too sure what boils my blood more- the Ebony version of the Spear long pull or the Red Saw-cut Bone that Barry has shown. Fantastic knives that set the bar!

What's a photoshop?

That color is the way it came out of the wrapper Charlie; I've done nothing to it except mark the tang with a file to denote it as a second, as that is what the tube said it was and it was with a group of seconds. Maybe it was a second because the rest of the run was a dark red color saw cut bone.

I actually kept it because it was a second, and I wanted one to carry, but at the time I didn't realize it was so special. Now I wish I hadn't marked the tang! lol I don't cut food with my carbon steel knives and I keep it well oiled, so patina is minimal.

I love the walk & talk and slim, pocket friendly profile of the single blade TC Barlows!:thumbup:

Some more 'seconds' with my favorite, "Dimple" in the center. You can just make out the flaw in the blackwood if you look closely.

Barry, that "tomato" barlow makes my head hurt its so nice to look at!

My collection of older barlows:

Those are beautiful knives! Nothing "second" about them!!!!

Here's a few pictures of my 3rd cut stag single clip blade. Really love this knife! Sorry for the poor quality photos. Taken inside at night & poor lighting in my apt make it really hard to get good ones with a phone. :(

Here are a few of the 2 blade version Charlie sent my dad. This one is very cool & none of my photos will do it justice!! Very unique.

Your photos and comments make this page a great one!
Thanks Linus, Brian, Jake, Barry and Evan, Duncan and Jon!!!
