Thanks everyone for posting your pics...I will do in the future...just waiting for some special blades to arrive.

After falling for the #78 I've often thought it would make a great Barlow as it seems to be a bigger version of the 15. Is the forum knife on the same frame as the 78 or is it slightly smaller?

The forum knife is going to be on the new #77 frame. I can't wait to see what GEC produces with the #77…some Barehead's and some Barlows would have me spending money left and right.

What is the best way to get in line for the Charlow releases? Are there any tips besides harassing Charlie every week? :D

TLU, they come about when GEC has room in its schedule, and the thought process and brainstorming for the "next one" all come together.
There is no hard and fast timing.
I hope the next one will be early next year. February maybe??

We'll all just have to wait until next year for more Barlows :(

I'm quite curious what the next batch will be. So many wonderful releases in the past and since there are to be no repeats it is destined to be amazing.

Your photos and comments make this page a great one!
Thanks Linus, Brian, Jake, Barry and Evan, Duncan and Jon!!!

You are most welcome Charlie, Thank you.

What's a photoshop?

That color is the way it came out of the wrapper Charlie; I've done nothing to it except mark the tang with a file to denote it as a second, as that is what the tube said it was and it was with a group of seconds. Maybe it was a second because the rest of the run was a dark red color saw cut bone.

I actually kept it because it was a second, and I wanted one to carry, but at the time I didn't realize it was so special. Now I wish I hadn't marked the tang! lol I don't cut food with my carbon steel knives and I keep it well oiled, so patina is minimal.

I love the walk & talk and slim, pocket friendly profile of the single blade TC Barlows!:thumbup:

Some more 'seconds' with my favorite, "Dimple" in the center. You can just make out the flaw in the blackwood if you look closely.

I remember you first posting that photo - I was impressed ( but not shocked ) that those beauties were 2nd's, just shows the Quality control of this magnificent Cutlery Company! Nice knives Barry.

Charlie I really enjoyed the story of Stew's Blade! Sounds like he was a great guy. Kudos to you for the dedication.

WOW.... That is one sweetheart of a knife-Man...When I see a knife, I just stare at it, and take it all in - and surprisingly enough - theres actually a lot to take in when looking at a knife-well I am guessing it is for me for some reason ( lack of cells somewhere I guess :o ) But theres one heck of a lot to take in looking at this beauty! Nice one Brian!

How do you like the one handed opening? I can't remember ever seeing a blade like this until I joined the forum. How do you open it, just hook it on your pants or something else?
