What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Dang - this wonderful CASE Barlow and the great knife from the GEC Annual are just plain awesome. AND Primble´s pics of the great TCs give me the rest...

Wonderful seeing all the variations of blade shape and single bladed or not at one place.

This thread is really killing me... so many great knives and so few money :grumpy:

Thank you Humppa.

Blades opened on this one, less my user, the Saddle Brown "Days Work":

I call this actual thievery!!!! Only because I dont have every knife in Primbles lovely photos.

I am going to contact Bill and Charlie and try to get something written in the contracts about the Prototype to be sent here - New Zealand for every model to be made from now on...... just a thought.

LOL on that Mr. Duncan! :D

I tried to help you, on this latest run and now you call me a sneak and a thief!!:D

At least you can feel comfort in knowing that if your old friend ever loses interest, you can hammer on him to send some south - however - unlikely to lose interest!:D

You are bound to have a nice collection yourself, there in Paradise. I know - because I remember them.

Maybe a group photo is needed of the paradise herd - they do take on a different character when they are filmed in herds. ;);););););)

I like the "open" pic, Rob, but it doesn't show a Spey blade. . .
Inside out. . . . I'm glad someone came up with "soup bone"- - - who was that again???

I thought about the Spey blade, but, only after the knives were back inside and as I was looking through the pictures.

It took me a while to cart all the knives outside. ( one in every pocket ):)

I suppose one can only imagine how long for your collection - It might take all day !! :D

I will try again another day and remember the "Days Work" blade - a day when the light is really nice. ;):)

I am very satisfied with my Charlow collection, at this point. I never dreamed I would be looking at the ones I now have, in this short amount of time.

With the help of members here - they are the ones that made it possible for me to enjoy.:)

I stand before this forum accused of things I may or may not have said :D

Ummmm herds?...my friend, my herd is somewhat small in comparison, but I must try to take a photo when the light is kind to me - that will have to be the weekend - as it is still dark before work, and dark when I get home! I have not so many TC's, but a few of Charlies other lovely SFO's!
I do say this - your help was amazing, and will not be forgotten kind Sir

If you could just engrave my initials on each knife for when you do loose interest, that would be appreciated:thumbup:;)

On a serious note, Oh MAN!!!! You have a lovely lot of knives there Sir

The additions that Charlie sent my way made me feel that my collection is one to be proud of - however - not quite complete!:p

and other members, such as yourself, have helped me with my desired collections. ;):)

I know that southern herd and I feel somebody else sand bagging a bit here. Get em out and get em in pictures - I have to nudge/shove you and Charlie EVERY time! :D

The pen behind main rust red saw-cut - on it's own:

Whatever light you are using makes that Red look extra fine, Rob!
