What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Barry beat me to it - Evan that knife- well bud, the scales are rotting away, send it down here mate-get the thing as far away from you as possible!!! Im here to help my friend.
 
Charlie-again thank you my friend for deciding to take the journey you have - many people are the happier and you have struck your markings in the knife world accordingly - I not only envy you, but I am extremely grateful to you as well, these Walnut Clippies mean a lot to me, as do the SFOS's that have graced and enhanced our collections.......

Just got into the Carlow/TC Barlow Market this year and was blessed to pick one of these up. Charlie, if you are behind this knife greatness... then I love and hate you. Love you, for helping me see what my favorite factory slip joint could be and hate you, because I have spent some serious money to get this blade! :-) I love this tread by the way.
The best Barlow for me has a single SheepFoot blade. I love everything about this knife.

Many things but to name just a few---to be manufactured the year I graduated High School:thumbup:

Nice bone covers:thumbup:

Well built with no blade play:thumbup:

and to be obtained at a very reasonable price;):thumbup:

This CASE 1980 Appaloosa bone Barlow just showed up today---not the same F&F as found on GEC's/Charlies Barlow's but very nice just the same. I do like this one very much and to stay in the norm for CASE back then the covers don't exactly match:D

Duncan, your not suppose to pay attention when I say those delusional things like that:D

Honestly though---I really do have WAY to many---I am however gifting more away than I buy---it was the reasonable price thing that totally clouded my senses:D;)

Duncan, I thought you knew the rules. EVERYONE has enough knives...until they discover that they don't. :D Personally, I have more than enough. But if I'd have come across that gorgeous Appaloosa Bone Case Barlow first, I'd have discovered that I was one knife short. ;)
