What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Outstanding design/story on the tube Charlie. Elvis was the "King of Rock" in my book of life. My sister got to see him at our high school around the late 50's. I made the journey
to his birth home in Tueplo, Mississippi and then on to his home in Memphis, Tennessee in 2002. One of my highlights. "Walking in Memphis", Mark Cohn! Great song.

Possibly the best label yet, Charlie!!!

That label is killing me :D Time to grab the popcorn and get comfy, love to watch a good feeding frenzy.... Knife Knuts smiling coast to coast!

Thanks for bringing the label over Jack!

No blue handles Rob. Maybe in the future.

Oops. :o:o:o

Well - the red shoes brought a red soup bone knife!:confused::confused::D

Heartbreak hotel - hmmmm :

" Well, the bellhop's tears keep flowin'
And the desk clerk's dressed in black
Well, they've been so long on Lonely Street
Well, they'll never, they'll never get back
And they'll be so, where they'll be so lonely, baby
Well, they're so lonely
They'll be so lonely, they could die

Primble logic ! :D:D:D:D

Black is always in the future!:D

After all, these are traditional knives.
On the run after this one, there will be some Blackfoot/ebony handles.

I wasn't wishing for the blue really (I have a couple blue bone knives and one of them was a gift) but, the blue shoes made me think - well maybe !:confused:

I can wear blue clothes for the March Madness. ;)

My only other option at the time was "pink" Cadillac and I then thought - No way !!! :D:D

I agree with you 100 percent about the traditional colors that you have always stuck with. ;):thumbup::)

I just can't figure out the Elvis thing - time will surely tell !!:confused::)

No blue handles....

... Tell me about it.

Well-done, Charlie! I love how you continue to hold fast to that which is archetypically traditional, while bringing your own humor and whimsy to bear.

[As long as this thread remains about "Good, Traditional Barlows," I don't expect to see 'blue'-- which is how it should be, unless and until whimsy doth overtake sense. It's been known to happen. ;)]

Glimpses from the first (last) run of Sheepfoot barlows, to whet appetites:

The main blade's oh-so-fine, but I'm fond of the secondary as well:
