I plan on attending the knife show this year. And I hope to meet Charlie and some of the other dealers. And yes I'm bringing my debit card.

Now if I could figure a way to get one of those new soup bones.........................

Those soup bones are just downright beautiful as are the rest of the TC Barlows. Thanks Charlie for being spot on again.

I'm on the fence with the Palo Santo. Some of the GEC pics made it look like Walmart furniture wood. I hope that's not the case.

Yup, not very handsome at all...hopefully lots of people are on the fence...in fact, anyone who has one on pre-order can go ahead and just change the shipping address to my house...

I think if you saw this wood in person you might just change your mind.:D Its pretty amazing!

I'm sure once I'm holding it in my hand I'll change my tune.

My comment was not meant to demean charlie or gec. I know the wood is not cheap, and I have seen other pics that show its beauty.

I have to get one of those Palo Santo Charlows!!!! Palo Santo wood aka Lignim Vitae, which is one of my favorite woods to turn.
Looks beautiful!!!

Wow the new TCs look nice to me! I especially like the soup bone covers. I just might have to dye a red soup bone blonde! I missed the preorder cycle. :(

Every time I look at those soup bones I think Brrrrrrrr...... That little guy needs a coat. This batch reminds me a bit of hairless cat (aka "Mr Bigglesworth" from austin powers) Great looking knife, it just needs someone to sew it a sweater! ;) I'll be plenty happy if I can score anything from this batch as they all look great to me.

That soupbone doesn't look quite up to standards either. My advice is to hang on to your money on this round of knives. I will inspect them and post my research here. Y'all can sit tight and make a better informed decision after Dr. Scott has had time to personally inspect these Barlows. 😉

My friend, That will be a cold day, as I will be sure to intercept those knives

Todd, I dont think anyone will take it as demeaning - knives are a very personal thing to the Traditionalists - but I do feel you will change your mind when knife is in hand - tell you what, I will do you a deal - you order one, if you dont like it, in all seriousness - I will buy it right away off you - hows that sound  because that wood is very striking, I tried to explain the New Zealand woods in detail the character they have-and I cant blame people for not taking too much notice of my posts - but this Palo Santo Wood is quite stunning - and lets not forget how wood ages so beautifully!

So I do agree with you there Perry.

Glad we have a resident Doc to make sure these Barlows are safe for our consumption! Just don't quarantine them for long you could cause an online riot (Smile)

Seriously, these TC Barlows are looking GOOD. The Palo Santo Wood handled TC is particularly handsome in my view, but the jigged bone is pretty amazing also. What an outstanding run of BARLOWS this continues to be production to production all wonderfully conceived and executed. This batch looks to be a continuation of the tradition. Thanks Charlie!

Preorder cycle. What preorder cycle? Was there one?

They look awesome by the way! Wish I was on the list too...
