What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Mine too, Justin and thank you! No Scott, I'm not. I know nothing of what's in the mind of Charlie. Merely making my personal plea that an Anniversary model would be fun to see again. Willydigger, that is Walnut and it was my first TC, a present from Philllll. Thank you again Phil!
Phil is a sweetie. :D

I like the nice patina developing on the blade. In the light it has a green / blue iridescence to it that is very attractive

Very nice, that knife ticks all the boxes, enjoy!
Thanks Drew, yeah, pretty pleased with this one

And now Al and his Copperhead just got me silly for them all over again.

Great photos Perry! I'm on the lookout for a sawcut spear for you bud!

Very nice Al...what a rare beauty:thumbup::cool:
Thanks for the nice words Paul!

Nice shot Jason! Where do you get your photography skills? :D:rolleyes::cool: Diggin' that Hillside hank :cool:

First Charlie's Soup for me. I mentioned before that I didn't jump in when the TC's first came about. I didn't know what I was missing. :o Now I can't get enough of them, but my wallet has other ideas. ;) I wish I could find more and money allowed, but for now I try to grab one here and there when I'm able. I don't know how some of you guys have connections to get the real desirable ones. Right now my small collection consists of an array of different styles. I haven't focused on just one blade style or cover material.
So this is my first soup bone and also my first clip blade. I really like it. :D

Congrats on the soup bone, Bob!:thumbup:
I like your enthusiasm for the new knife. :D

You have a very nice red soup, Bob! If you'll look close in one of those valleys, I'm stuck down there! Throw me a line!:D

Thank you so much Al! I'm sure we will find one sooner or later. Patience is part of the hunt.

Looking great on the patina front, Somber!

+4 on that Bob! That red soup is one beauty of a specimen!!

True that Perry, the hunt IS part of the fun! The kill ain't so bad either :D:D

Bob you and I are similar in that regard, little late to the TC party. I only have a few picked up with no rhyme or reason besides counting myself blessed to have any at all. That is a beautiful knife, enjoy!

Thanks Drew. At one point, my only TC's were all sheepfoot single blades. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I just wanted to experience a variety of different ones.

Got that right Perry. I just wished I started experiencing these sooner. I wouldn't be pulling what little hair I have left out. ;)

Know the feeling all too well Bob! Almost impossible to find some of these, if I hadn't gone to the OKCA show last month I wouldn't have the variation in the ones I do now. That'll never happen again!

That is one great photo Perry your skills have really taken off here lately, I guess it helps that you have such great subjects and backgrounds. Every time I see that anniversary knife I want to kick myself but remind myself later that sometimes you have to decide whats most important at the moment and then it was Washington Jacks but today its Soup so the hunt starts anew my friend.

I've accepted the fact that there are a lot of them I'll never be able to find or purchase even if they were to come up. Life's waaay to short to loose sleep over something like a knife. So, I'm just going to appreciate and enjoy the ones I'm able to grab here and there. All I can say is Thank You Charlie for your fantastic vision on these TC runs. Keep up the great work! You have a new admirer here in New England.
