What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Chick magnet! :D

Mama made a nest in the gutter. Babies ended up in the attic and plopped down to the kitchen pantry. First one, then two, and a day later numero tres. So we tossed them in a basket and put them close to the original nest. Here's mama taking care of them.

In the last month, I've acquired three TC Barlows (never had any before). The latest two, received today, are the red jigged spear and the Palo Santo sheepfoot. Photos, comments and stories on this thread are what got me interested. The acquisitive illness is all my own fault.

Love these knives! Each one is my favorite.

Wow, Dean! That's a great collection for just one month in... At this rate, by the end of the year you should have 27.

I can't do math as well as The good doctor but I'll say those are a great start! All three are perfect!

True, but I would no longer have a wife!

Singin50, they are beauties! Wish I had the photography skills of some on this forum to really show them off.

Dean, I imagine you've done your reading here, but just in case, you know that Palo Santo has healing powers, right? I pocketed "Pablo" this week during a tough stretch, did a little rubbing on it, and everything is good to go now. A couple of rubs with the thumb on that lignum vitae, and a couple slices with that sheep, all is well.:D:D I really don't think there's been a barlow which has taken me like this one, just perfection. The original etch is long gone, I need to take some new pics.

Brad, great picture! I did read up on the Holy Wood. That makes the knife that much more special. I was thinking last night how cool it be to have a superhero who uses his Palo Santo Barlow to heal people and fight crime. Midnight musings while half asleep. It's one I wanted the first time I saw a photo.

Brad the Palo Santo might be my favorite overall as well. The look of the wood TCs overall is hard to beat. I love the name Pablo for your knife. Dean you have some sweet knives there!

Wow, between excitement and anticipation that Picture just made both worse Mark:D

Fantastic looking combo of bolster material, logo and covers brother:cool::thumbup::thumbup:
