What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

The back label is done!* We are still working on the front one.

It's a race against production right now. The labels need to be finished when the knives are done!!

Very cool Label Charlie, after getting the spearpoint I really enjoy the little excerpts of literature included on the back of the tube.

There's a lot of good information in that back label and that is no easy task. Great job Charlie and Pertinux. There's even a Thanks to the people at GEC. Even my non knife friends would understand and find this interesting.:D

Great back label Charlie and Pertinux and every word of it true, I am sure the front label will be just as impressive and yet provide that always fresh look.

I noticed from the pics of the ancient barlows on the GEC web site that Charlie has achieved his own blade designation... these models are stamped "15C115"

Very cool!

I also noticed there has been significant work in making those ebony scales look as though they've been through hell and back!

Nice work on that back-label  Apparently diamonding came about in Sheffield 1755-1758

The button and bladestamp images are extracts from my family history.
Specifically, the "Trinacria" is the symbol of Sicily, and the red and yellow diagonal, are the colors of her flag. My grandfather, and three of his many brothers, joined the melting pot that is America, in about 1895 from La Bella Sicilia! This seems like a good "guild" stamp to fit that history . . . . . . . . . if there were a guild for SFOs. But I digress!!:D

Are you picking me up for the trip Roberto? I want to see you shake Charlie down for all his knives like you mentioned on the phone last night!

Huh ??? I think Charlie might be too big for a shake down, like YOU were talking last night !:eek::eek::rolleyes:

Now he's probably thinkin' about hiding them scratted bones from me. :grumpy::grumpy:

It is going to take me 7 hours and 14 minutes from here. Add 4 hours to come thru Jackson. Something wrong with Mark's wheels?:confused:

Besides, you would probably get me in trouble. ;):D:D:p

One of my closest friends visited and stayed in Italy traveling down the coast from Florence to Roma to Naples to Sicily and will love this pin of yours Charlie when I get a chance to show her it. Amazing stuff :) I'm excited to see the front label
