What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Thanks Al, that knife there got me looking for an example of my own. Thats what I love about this thread, all the great finds that everyone posts.

Added another Appaloosa bone Case this week, unused but had picked up some tarnish and rust over the years, a light cleaning and it looks pretty good, will add it to my group of EDC vintage Barlows.

Case XX one arm knife, one of the reason I took it is the resemblance of the blade to the ancient TC barlow (which I don't have yet...)

Hoping for a SFO in scratted bone. Going to keep posting this pic until it happens. :D

You know, I don't sweat it when I miss out on buying a SFO. I'm never fast enough in the "lolly scramble", but no matter: I've got lots of nice knives.

;)

If there's ever a scratted #14 Barlow, I might cry when I miss out on it.

Even cooler, though I doubt I'd ever put that blade to a pet's skin. I have seen a few grooming knives before, but not in a Barlow and definitely not in a one-armed jack.
