What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

That is BEAUTIFUL Drew!!! I love the bolsters, the covers and the Barlow as a whole. Being Bob had Glenn do the covers and it being Bob's Barlow equals heirloom knife my friend!

I've had some wonderful luck lately. Yesterday with Ron's wonderful gift of a green pick bone New Day TC, then that followed with this beautiful two blade version arriving today...(thanks Trevor)

They're all beauties. No wonder I can never find one!

Did the one (without patina) come without etching, or did you do that yourself?

Haha they're out there, just have to keep your ear to the ground.
Nah that one was lightly used but was given a fluff and buff to look 'new', thus eliminating the pre existing etch.

Thank you, gentlemen. Not so much inspired as desired. The cherries tasted great.

Haha thanks for giving me a laugh Dean, I agree, I'd trade any TC I have for one of these. It just *clicks* with me.

I like my user the best

Funny how that works, eh? ;)

[Which comes first, choosing a knife to carry and use because it appeals to you, then growing even more fond of it over time and use, or having a knife become dear simply after semi-repeated carry, leading to a reassuring familiarity and memories made? I've had both happen, to different degrees. But no matter what, I am fondest of my users. :)]

Haha I can agree on both happening to different degrees as well but it's the knife in your pocket that is most useful and valuable at any given period :)

Very NICE Tim!!!:cool::thumbup:
