What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

This one makes a GREAT and Very Special, Traditional Barlow.

First off, it's a gift from my very good friend Mister Duncan Morgan:thumbup:

Designed and brought to life from Mister Charlie Campagna:thumbup:

Then hand Checkered by the skilled Artisan hands of Mister Evan Nicolaides aka ESNYX:thumbup: STUNNING skill Evan:thumbup:

Gifted by Duncan, this wonderful TC Barlow of Charlies creation using Gun Stock Walnut of his Fathers, then so appropriately Checkered as fine Guns/Rifles are by Evan, is like hitting the Barlow Trifecta

It is sharp (in so many ways) and will be carried on Special Occasions

Thank you Duncan, Charlie and Evan for each playing a significant role is this TC Barlow coming to be...THANK YOU:thumbup:

Paul, My friend, that is one outstanding TC! The hand cut checkering is to rival some of the finest I have ever seen on a rifle stock or custom handgun grips. The shenanigans that were involved with this wonderful creation certainly rival any that have taken place on the Porch before. You are so very deserving of a gift such as this. Congratulations!

It scares me that my precious Evan TC chequered (Bone) beauty is all alone with Paul- dying to see it- is an understatement - but I feel better now that Paul has that magnificent piece lol

Paul - That is just amazing- What a beauty! Charlie's Gunstock Walnut TC's are pretty darned special- for sure - probably the Most Traditional TC ever produced if you look at it sentimentality.

Added a C.F. Wolfertz Barlow and a TC Barlow this week, both really nice Barlows. GEC did a great job on the jigging for the new TC.

I'll admit, I'm more partial to smooth wood or sawcut bone on a barlow, but this one stands out to me. The jigging, yes, but especially in combination with the variegation and tones in the dye. That bone's gone to look even more fantastic after some use, should that be its lot. Beautiful picture of a beautiful knife!
