What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Charlie, I would like to say that I really appreciate what may appear as a small insignificant design change. The new long pull on this new run is not only visually appealing, but more functional for someone like myself. The long pull cut is not just longer going into the tang, but wider and deeper as well. Aside from years of arthritis, I developed chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy and it has really affected the use of my hands. The new long pull is so much easier to deploy the blade. I find it very attractive as well.
Thank you again for another fantastic release of the classic Barlow pattern. You just continue to knock your releases out of the park my friend. :cool: :D

Really awesome Bob! I didn't even realize the pull was wider and deeper till you mentioned it.
 
Sure glad I stumbled across this thread . I'm starting from page one and working my way up and just wanted to thank WayNorth and all who have contributed to this thread with there knowledge and beautiful Barlows. Makes me that much more excited for mine to arrive .

A couple of weeks ago, I actually started from the beginning, and ran through it myself!!
I have learned an amazing number of things about Barlows and their history!!
