What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Stuck in the office today.

Looking for GEC 15 Huckleberry Boys knife single clip blade.

Well, though I haven't been able to obtain a TC Barlow yet, (not for lack of trying I must add), I did run across this extremely rare bird; Buck #332 Barlow in Yellow Sawcut Delrin, (1995 SFO by Camillus for SMKW). These are super scarce, so I feel very fortunate to have found one. Now all I have to do is find the black version, (and a TC Barlow of course).

^Nice find Sonny. I know what you mean about trying to get the GEC Barlows on the exchange. When I see a Barlow on the exchange that I want, I'm usually too late. I have picked up some nice ones there though.

Thanks. I'm watching constantly and am on a few "back in stock" contact lists for a TC, but no luck yet. I'll keep trying, they seem to be slightly more abundant than yellow Buck Barlows, so I'm hoping it's just a matter of time, (and money).

Thank you Sir! It's by far my favorite barlow!! I have a few others and from time to time I look around but... for me, nothing beats the Queen!!!

Nice Wheel o' Schrades, Lloyd!!

Just Beautiful, James!! (Queen?)

I can see this humble Camillus Barlow, sitting on top of the top plate of a garage wall - for a couple of decades!!
Not really abused - just lonesome and un-used, un-loved!!:(
It cut a few things, but nobody ever sharpened it much, nor applied oil regularly - sniff!!!!

I won't erase your patina - that's part of your character!! But I will give you a nice edge, and take you for a ride now and then!!
This is the first day of the rest of your life good buddy!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one around here who talks to their knives. :p

Yes Charlie, it is a Queen. c1949-1958 and a joy to carry.
r8shell, Duncan, Factor and I are happy to hear of your dialog with that wonderful Camillus you rescued. That sort of thing is considered acceptable as long as we don't hear our knives talking to each other. :D

Thanks Paul, I consider your kind words high praise.
