Very nice Paul !
I bet it was a nice surprise to find that baby again [emoji106]
Charlie, MJ, Atiger and John, such wonderful Barlows I'd say:thumbup:
Now an updated one from way back, you know circa 2014not forgotten but had sat in my safe way in the back for sometime. While searching for a car title I was pleasantly reminded that this knife belonged to me and quickly popped the tube top
and in my pocket with pride...what a BEAUTY, check out the swedge/swage on the pen

Thank you Ironbut you scored a great one there, I love those covers:thumbup:
Old Miller Bros. barlow with smooth bone handles that, while not appearing new or particularly recent, are likely not original.

Bump - thread seems to be slowing down so...

Wow Paul. The red on those handles is absolutely gorgeous. And what a great knife to forget and then find. Superb.

I had such good results trying the "Old Boiley" treatment on my Orchard Gem that I decided to try it on one of the new run TCs! The vinegar leached a lot of the dye out of the bone but I really like how it turned out! Almost looks like the Antique Amber bone from the first run.

The knives are looking good, thanks for showing!
Interesting that it's possible to leach the dye out of the bone this way, and the patina on the steel is very nice too!
If I'd knew this way of brighten up colours before, I guess I wouldn't have sanded down so many of my jigged bone handles..![]()
While admiring my new Ebony #74 today, I got to thinking about some of the more unusual old Barlows I'd seen in this thread, and I wondered:
Charlie, do you think you'll ever do a curved TC Barlow?

Thank you! I love what you did with those sanded handles though, especially the scratted bone.
