waynorth waynorth , Charlie, I do not have any photographs of your Barlows with me to post, otherwise I certainly would. However, I know you are appreciative of all of the early Barlows, and I hope you feel well enough soon to check out this Case XX USA. Maybe this pattern was the inspiration for the famous Red Soup Bone TC.

Yes, it is an Imperial. The main blade has been sharpened a lot so I can only make out "853DE". Any idea what that means and or what the other numbers were?
I don't know details of Imperial's history, but there was a time when they made knives in a Diamond Edge series. Here's a link to an advertising flyer from 1979 with the 853DE barlow appearing on the right of the top row:
