I think as long as Mulder is calling himself a piglet most of us will still be considered piglets . . . ;)
 
Just got caught up on this thread.

Always sad to see falling out amongst valuable members.

I was granted IT HOG status in 2008. I did not get it for discounts, but because I wanted to belong to the group.

It has taken till 2011 to actually have the ability to order a knife with a hog discount.



I have always appreciated the welcoming attitude shown to new guys on this sub forum.

I look around a bit, but stay in the Pig Sty more often than not.


Just wanted to post a big thank you to the Whole Busse family for the great customer service, and more importantly, the great way they treat everyone on here.

I got inducted out of surprise.

I was at Blade, went to Jocks and Jill's with my dad and among the beer they started the inductions, which was pretty cool.

Then my name was called and I was thinking "what the hell? Seriously? Me? A HOG"

Then, three quarter drunk and with a nice shiny Gladius at my shoulder, it was done.

Discounts are nice, but making friends and getting to know the people behind the screen names are far better.

And, thanking the entire Busse family/crew is a must

Well, most people and organizations are full of flaws that are more noticeable the closer you get, and the more you get to know them. That is just a human nature thing. I appreciate Busse and the family atmosphere they extend to us all, and the community they provide. I was inducted online a few years ago, and finally was able to make it to 2 shows in my neck of the woods: AG Russell and Tulsa.

I am sad to see anyone go, but remember that this happens in my bakery, at my church, even, sadly, in many families.

If it weren't for our host, Bladeforums, and great knives like Busse, we wouldn't have this opportunity to share and build relationships in the first place, and I am grateful.
