That is pretty sweet, and I looked it up on the interweb with the thought of purchasing one. I read from one reviewer that the design is painted (or otherwise applied) to the surface and is not under a clear coat. What is your assessment? Thanks.

I don't know. I think it's meant to be a collector thing so it will wear like a lot of those type Vics. These boutique Vics are extremely popular and sold worldwide but since I seldom buy these type scales on a knife, I have little experience on the wear issue. Only carried it twice and it will for the most part be in the collection along with it's unopened twin. Saw a similar review about wear on the sales site named after a big South American River and would take some of those reviews with a grain of salt but the guy could be totally right.

I'm no help, sorry.

Great pics everyone, the SAK really does rule when you consider there are MILLIONS of them out there in service every day, in purses, pockets, back-packs, tool kits, tackle-boxes, etc quietly doing what they've done every day for a century now. It's staggering when you think about it. I can't think of any knife that can match this (correct me if I'm forgetting one).

The Vic Classic has been riding in my LFP with change, keys, etc. It's tiny, sharp scissors, tweezers and scalpel-like blade are awesome at their intended purposes - always there and ready.

I love my orange Farmer. It's a rare day that it's not riding on my belt in it's horizontal pouch. The other day it's saw did a great job of cutting out damaged drywall during a repair job.

They are pretty handy.
