What slipjoint knifes are you Carrying today?

Ok, not "old", but it's the slipjoint in my pocket. I recently traded for this, and at first I was afraid to touch it. Then I said what the hell, sharpened it, and dropped it in my pocket! It feels good to take a break from large locking folders. My only other slipjoints are my SAK and Grandpa's old 6308 Whittler ('40-'64 model), which happens to be at Case getting new handles put on, or it would be in my pocket too, as always.

I saw the first pic, and said "that's a Cover by golly" (yep, really said that) and the next pic confirmed it. A D2 Cover! SUWHEEEEEEET! Heck, ya gotta carry AND use that one! I hear he's made some in S30V too... love to have one of them. Sure wish she were mine.

Yup, I figured D2 wasn't meant to sit in a drawer or a safe.:)

This week (including today) it's mostly been my Victorinox Economy Huntsman. Not a traditional pattern I admit, but when carrying a trad. I usually also EDC a Gerber 800 Legend for the tools. This week though I've needed to be dressed up for client meetings.
And in the U.K. carrying multiple pocket knives is generally seen as VERY suspect should you attract the law's attention, so that limits the EDC a bit. ;)

I've been carrying a Queen Classic Canoe,1095 blades.Very nice apple peeler.:)

Are those blades hollow ground, T.E? I didn't know buck made slippies like that; Kewl!!

Yea, I like the hollow ground blades too, it's a 303T Cadet, Walmart Special, IIRC it was $7, I bought 5 and sold 4 0n EBay, had to keep one.:D

Normally it's either a Queen stockman or a SAK, Cadet. But today I'm carrying my Russell
single blade Barlow.

Winchester split-back whittler and small Queen CSB D2 stockman. The Winchester has carbon steel blades and is same size as a Queen 48 whittler. Larry

Real nice whittler Larry:thumbup:

Today I switched (a little).
Carson lock back as always and a Queen/Dan Burke english jack.

This pup is a little on the fancy side, but is great for the office.

Pic is from A.G. Russell's site:

I'm sorry Bastid, but when I saw you had posted in this thread, I just KNEW you were going to say you were now carrying a Canal Street Forum Knife.

:D :D

bILL

Now that was funny!

Lately it's been a Vic Nylon Solo or Buck 110 with a Vic Classic with LED attatched. Today however I got another Opinel from a trade, my biggest one yet. Just got done putting a better edge on it.

Came last week. Nice knife. Much smaller than my Eickhorn PRT-II

Cheers,

A Vic classic

And since I was doing some household chores like cutting some vines off the basement rail, and breaking down some boxes I had my large Kissing Krane brown mule sodbuster.

There's something about the feel of a soddie in the hand if theres real cutting work to do.

Here are some of my smaller traditional patterns that get EDC'd, they all get used and carried to one extent or another.

Now which one today?

Looks like the Camillus Pearl Pen goes for a ride in the watch pocket today:D

Today it was a Queen single blade jack to match T.E.'s Delrin Queens in the bottom left corner of the photo above. It was one a few suprises that came in the box yesterday with a trade from one of the forum members. (Thanks again, btw) I gotta say it carried like it wasn't even there. I had to pat my pocket a few times to make sure it still was. That brings to four the ones that ride like that along with the Camillus YJ Congress, Kissing Crane 37 (small) sodbuster, and the Case yellow handled CV peanut. I see it quickly becoming a steady reach for along with the aforementioned Congress. Maybe I'll just carry both.
