  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What specs are major turn-offs?

Personally I can't wait for the "Harpoon" style to go the way of the dodo.
I love harpoon shapes. If well designed, you can put your index finger on the spine of the blade and use it for controlled utility/exacto blade tasks. The Hinderer harpoon shape is particularly great for that.

I've been doing that for 50 years without one.
For me its the answer to a question that no one asked.
Stylistically unappealing as well.
FWIW, I make my living with Olfa & X-acto blades...

Cool. I'm only pointing out it's a feature conducive to that usage. I find it helpful, but you may not.

Stylistically they look neat, IMO.

Yeah, but your Hinderer framelock is crap and has lock rock, remember? How rude of me to point that out to you...

My Spyderco military frame lock did. Had a defective lock out of the box. My new gen 6 Hinderer has some lock movement that gives me concern, too.

Frame locks and liner locks are difficult to get right.

So do you love or hate your framelock Hinderer?

No worries. I just figured I'd quantify why I consider them a "turn off".
Your post made me realize that I left that out.
Nothing personal.
To each his own :)
