What Spyder is 'the One' for you?

I have now collected a few - Endura, Delica, SS Cricket, Para and Manix but the Grey FRN Calypso Jr is always in my pocket and gets more use than all the others put together. They are all exceptional in their own way, all users, but that little grey fella is something special. This knife is the greatest pound for pound, bang for its buck deal going.

My oldest buddy Jonathan has been a Spyderco fan for many years. I've never quite understood his love of Spydies. They just never did it for me.

Not too long ago I was shopping for a present for his 40th birthday and came across a limited edition of the Native. US made with a CPM440V blade and G10 scales inlaid with what looked to be Abalone. It was a 1 of 500 numbered knife. It seemed like a perfect gift so I got it for hime.

Before giving it to Jonathan, I had to inspect the knife closely. I found it to be very cool and while I wanted to keep it for myself, I gave it to him for his birthday anyway as planned.

My wife gave noticed my facination with the knife I gave Jonathan and bought me a copy of the exact same knife for Christmas last year. Mine is a later serial number (063 of 500) but is the same knife.

It's my first Spyderco, and has a cool story to go along with it. I usually carry higher end Benchmades, Microtechs and stuff, but this Spyderco is winning me over.

The Ti ATR is the only Spydie I have kept so far, all of the other have to delicate of tips for my liking.

My S30V Military or more recently my Bob Lum Tanto in VG-10. I like them both a lot. Thinking of the Manix next... everyone seems to like that knife.

My all-time favorite Spydie as well as my all-time favorite folder from anybody is the StarMate. Should Sal & Co. decide to revive production on it, I'll be right there to buy one or two.

For my small knives, I like the Kiwi and the Salsa. They are just right for carrying into federal buildings.

Small: Micarta Jester (if I could find one)
Medium: Caly Jr. (my EDC but would replace with UK penknive if I could find a user)
Large: G10 police (big blade, compact, light, flat grind)

It used to be Paramillie but I own Manix right now and I must say it could be The One - absolutely perfect!

The Harpy is my constant companion; it is never out of arms' reach. Other companion blades might come and go, but there is always the Harpy.

Hey gang, this is a tough question. I got so many spydies and use them in so many different ways.
My weekend carry is a straight edge Delica, or a 50/50 I think endura, I really dont remember,,,,,, I beat the dickens out of them and they keep on ticking.,cut sheetrock, roofing shingles, wood, etc....they are my primary work knives....
For fancy dress its the pride or meerkat. They are sheeple friendly.
For work in the office its usually the native III
For fishing its the ... oh, I think its the jd smith with the real sharp point to it.
I gotta look at these knives again and see what the models are again.
Then there is a box full of spydies in my dresser .... knives I got ......just to have,,, also I have given my kids several spydie knives usually one a yr for christmas, for the past 4 or 5 christmas'es... god my life is sounding like I should go to work for spyderco... how about it Sal, got a job for me ????

How does the thickness compare between your Manix and Paramilli?
The Native is the knife that infected me with the spyder bug first, and I still think its my favorite, however I have a fondness for my other children as well.
