What Spyder is 'the One' for you?

I don't own any spyderco's as of right now (mostly benchmade's and sog's)
But if any model is going to break me it'll be the spyderench if it ever comes back, hell if a nice price shows up for an old one I'll break. (I salivate for a spyderench :()
Not to mention the ever tempting kiwi's, cricket's and kopa's.
You're lookin' at a spyder fan in the making.

Edit: got the spyderench, now chasing civilians, police's and military's.

grey calypso jr. its the knife I can't do without.
I also really like the paramilitary beautiful design and function.

Presently the SE Delica.

HOWEVER, a longer bladed Native would render this whole thread moot.

;) :) :D :p

Para-military. This after going through more Spydercos than I care to count.

For me, it's got to be the Lum tanto (titanium). To this day, I've never had a knife "speak" to me like that one. Beautiful...

Plain edge Wegner. What an outdoors knife! Mine will skin 3-5 caribou without resharpening.

I would have to say the FRN Calypso Jr with fully serrated blade. Hopefully the new ZDP sprint run will be available with serrations. I'd go hog wild!!!

I have been trying answer that question for a while now. I really like the Delica for an everything all around knife but I also love the Endura. I love the stainless Endura I have but it does get darn cold in your pocket when you work outside for a good while in the winter time. There have been times when I've had to remove it because it got uncomfortable and I haven't had it that long. I do like how strong it is though. Nevertheless I ordered a limited tan colored FRN combo edge Endura in the VG10 from a friend that gave me a great deal just the other day. I have a feeling it will move into my daily carry routine pretty easily.

I just got a Native and it is my first S30V blade so I'll know more about that one later. I should get it in the mail next week sometime. I also just bought a Veile 2 which is also a nice knife but for me the hole is in the wrong place for optimum opening of the knife compared to my other Spydercos so I've got that one up for sale currently although I've had second thoughts about letting it go because it is so silky smooth when you play with it. Really nice action on the Veile knives.

It is a tough call really. I have been so impressed with the VG10 steel that now I'm kind of hesitant and excited about getting an S30V. I just hope it is as good as everyone says it is. Guess I'll know soon enough.

For me it's the leaf blade Li'l Temp. It can go anywhere, has the cutting power superceding many of its bigger competitors and that handle design gives off a very custom 'vibe'.

Since I purchased two PE Stretches last November, one of them has been in my pocket almost every day. Bought one to use and one "for the collection". Couple months, after loosening one corner of one of the kraton inlays on the "user" by dumping a couple gallons of boiling water on it, I sent it out to have them replaced with micarta. Two days later the other Stretch came out of the display case, no matter that I had a bunch of other Spydercos I could have used. So the Stretch is "the one" for me, at least till the R2 hits the street. :D

I lost my Ladybug, which was my little EDC, if I can't find it, gonna replace it with my Jester. As for the one Spyderco I couldn't live without, my Native III :D!

I ordered my manix a few days ago! I hate waiting in the mail. I never even looked at spydercos until someone suggested it, and man I held it and I felt like King Arthur pulling Excalibur from the stone.

I had recently handled a Strider and Sebenza, and the manix was right up there in regards to toughness *and* fit and finish. The only thing bad I have to say is it is huge, and is probably to big to carry in my pocket when i'm in work pants (dockers/slates). I'll need something lighter and more sheeple friendly. I'm
thinking perhaps one of the new Byrd knives. Has anyone tried one of those?

CF delica is the one for me. Sublime.
Being UK based, the UK penknife is a winner, but it needs a bit of refinement yet.
