What Spyder is 'the One' for you?

No knife I've owned before or since will ever hold a candle to my G-10 Bladeforums Native.

Harpy, baby! HARPY!

If I ever fine a Plain-edge one and get it converted to tip-up carry I'll be set!

My first Spyderco knife was a "Q" with the spider design on the blade and 'USA' on the handle. The clip was reversible fo a lefty. The clip holes were a little too weak to hold the clip and I lost it. Never replaced the clip or missed it. The knife did a few years of warehouse and delivery work: Sawing open large and heavy cardboard boxes, cutting plastic banding and lots of rope and tape. When I was promoted to a warehouse manager, the Q was the perfect knife to have in my dockers for many of the same tasks.
Almost 10 years later I am at a computrer company and was helping to package up some routers, well, out of storage came the Q! The skelatel leaf blade was easy to thumb for shallow cuts and slices and the serrations easily 'modified' the packing foam. All and all a great knife. I really need to send it in for a professional sharpining as they just don't make them anymore!

Which One?

Surely the man jests.

I have a Manix, Native II and III and I have my order in for a plain edge Delica and a SpyderEdge Endura.

And, Sal. Do you think your guys could put a new edge on my 15 year old SpyderEdge Endura? The original serrations are gone but I'd be happy to pay to have it reground to either a plain edge or new serrations. I really don't want to retire that great old knife.

PE Endura. I use it for work, at the range and at home. Been carrying it for years. Haven't lost an Endura since I bought some spares!
Sunday Go-to-meeting knife is a PE Native.
I have a PE Military and Chinook II to carry when I'm with my knife loving friends

I have finally settled down to my new 'upgraded' titanium lined Salt as my fave carry knife.

It varies but the PE Para is darned close. Lately, I've been carrying the Native III in VG-10 though.

PE Military! If I had only one Folder for the rest of time, this is the one.

My Harpy. A left-handed model because I'm ambidextrous and it was the first lefty folder I could find. Since I make rope, I need a knife that will cut a bad line before there's trouble.

For over 15 years the Harpy has never let me down. It'd be a long post if I described all the unusual and demanding things I've put it through. The knife still looks great! No broken tip, no missing teeth, no rust or stains.

I'm still waiting for my Endura, it'll be my first. Others seem to be calling out to me... I'm sure a Military and Manix will soon follow.
