What Survival Knives Are Ya Wantin or Waitin On ?

I just broke down and got on the waitlist for a Brian Andrews bitterroot in African Blackwood.

Photo - blatantly stolen from the Backyard Bushman site (Brian's site).

I really love my Breeden Pathfinder and the bitterroot will be what I feel is a dressier version of it!

I have many other wants. I'd like a smaller Wildertool blade maybe later in the year.

Self confession - my so called 2010 year without buying new knives has not worked out that well. Thus far I've accumulated a SAK Farmer, ESEE machete and the Brian Andrews order.

That's a beauty, kinda Grohman like but much more classy !;)

I thought Brian announced he wasn't making knives anymore ? I have never seen so many of his knives floating round the forum, has he had a change of heart ?

He is taking orders by e-mails but doesn't give a defined delivery date to order of completion and he's not marketing his wears as much. I gather he just wanted to slow things down to give him flexibility in time to do personal things while keeping the knife making still enjoyable and a slightly profitable hobby.

Well, that's just rude! What about our needs??? :)

Just got the makers pics of my new G.L. Drew yesterday. Should have it in hand by the end of the week.

Wish I knew how to post pics.

Firstly I've got a Bushwacker Mistress on it's way (muddy blade with tan mag grips). I should have it about six weeks because I'm mailing it directly to a sheath maker.
Here's the picture from the Busse store:

Next up I'm on the waiting list to have an Off The Map 'Bushcrafter' custom made for me.
I came across it while sifting through a bushcraft knife thread and got a hard on there and then :D
Here's a pic of the one I'm getting except without the red liners:

Gabriel.

That bottom knife with the scandi grind is really nice.

What kind of knife it it and who makes them?

Not waiting on anything right now really, and I just got rid of a ton of them! I find I pretty much only use my BCNW or my Becker Crewman.

However, I am waiting with much anticipation for the Ritter Mk2 - Becker blade that may or may not get announced around Blade. We shall see..

Waiting on a Koster W&SS necker in S30v. I missed the first run and jumped on this one when I saw it. I am excited to try out this little knife.

I guess it was my Condors. My Hudson bay got here yesterday.

I'm wanting/waiting on a Custom Bowie that I've been talking to Mark Wohlwend about for the last few days

I should have two smaller blades from Mark Wohlwend sometime next week (a 3-finger grip necker and a small scandi).

I'm also waiting on a 3V Skookum Bush Tool that I ordered just over a year ago. Maybe I'll get it over the summer...

Anyway, I chose 3V because I'm in love with my Koster Bushcrafter in 3V and it's not too bad to sharpen with my diamond stones.

Just like Tom Petty said, "The waiting is the hardest part..."

Waiting on a Hatchula from Dylan.
I drew up a knife that I wanted and the same week he had posted the Hatchula design here. They were very close.
His design was better.
It then goes to Robert Jones for a nice leather condom.

Go Dylan go. I'm glad to see this. AND, having seen this batch of Hatchula's already I can tell you they're going to be sweet.

I'd like a pair of Beckers for my birthday, BK-9 and a necker. Like a nice Gerber Diesel or a SOG MT too. Prob won't see any, but I can wish, haha!

I was lucky enough to snag Dylan's People's Knife. I've had it for a few days but this 12-on 2-off rotation is keeping me from really trying it out. I've used it in the kitchen a little and I'm pretty impressed. Hoping to get some use out of it this weekend.
