relatively new to the forum, but longtime fan of quality knives. started out several years ago with a spyderco Endura clip-it with ats-55. Now that I'm done with school/training, new job/new income, I've been working on my list.
Not too long ago got a mini-griptilian, kershaw skyline, Ontario rat-2, spyderco sage 1, cold steel American lawman, boker urban trapper.
Recent additions include a pm2 in s30v, zt 0562cf, spyderco military m4, Bradford guardian 3 in m390. One of the knives left for me is a large sebenza. Thought I'd let my wife get me that one for my 40th.

So, to my point, what do you do when you've pretty much checked off most of your list? Hunt for special editions? Wait for new models each year? Sprint runs? Or maybe I should turn my bench grinder into a sharpener/polisher...

 I tend to run out of $$$ :(! Never had a problem of not wanting some new toy :). My "list" is endless and grows daily .

keep being open minded and experiments stuff you won't have considered a few years ago.
Also, look a bit out of the beaten path and consider customs/good midtechs. You will buy less knives and actually have to save instead of impulse buy :D

Right - I've gone through what I wanted, and tried some things that didn't previously appeal to me. In some cases, I was pleasantly surprised...in others, not so much. In this process, I've gotten a better feel for what I like (and what I don't like). As a result, I've become more selective about my purchases...this opens a whole new world of knives.

You move up in quality. For example, perhaps a PM2 in M4 purchased on the secondary market. A recent CQI Military Ti. Customs like the AD-10+P. Guardian 3 in M390? How about a CPK EDC in D3V? Why is Dozier D2 so highly regarded? Buy one and find out. Winkler. Phil Wilson. It never stops...

Look into wallets, handkerchiefs, watches, multitools. I've reached the end of my list for now I do believe. I'll be posting a thread on it soon as well.

Cheers!

This is the kind of thing that appeals to me. This and my growing general preference for made in the USA blades. Thanks.

Knife companies are always innovating to keep customers interested in their products. If you start to reach the end of your list, just pull up your favorite manufacturers web site and you will more than likely find a few that peak your interest.

Go donate some money if you ran outa things to buy for yourself...

I turn the page and begin again. You might wish to check out the Sebenza (your post) as well as carbon fiber ZT's, Olamic 247, a nice Benchmade in S90V, or a Spyderco Slysz Bowie (a high-class favorite).
You have an entire fresh field ahead of you if you want to check out various super-steels. Since you are using these things, look into a nice sharpening system like Edge Pro Apex or Wicked Edge. These can be expensive, but they are highly capable aids for your hobby.
I have gone thru many folders, fixed with super steels and wonderful wood grips, some traditional folders, but now am pretty set on folders. I have found that I am spending more money on higher-class folders these days, although there are many great folders at much lower prices.

Run away before you make a new list.
Seriously though, just start edging up to knives more custom in nature. I went from buying $30-$60 knives twice every month to buying knives $500 and up every two or three months. Your intake slows, but you grow a new appreciation for quality.

I enjoy what I have and use them often in order to figure out what I Iove or dont love about them.

Recently I figured out the Spyderco Milli is a must have, that I like PM2s clipless, this was my third one and a keeper.

And that I will almost naturally like any SS traditional so long as it's a wharnie or clip, single blade between 2 and 7/8 and 3.5 closed. I try to stick with what Iike and these parameters. I usually discover a new interest if I wait long enough.

Let some of your shady so called friends see your collection and the layout of your home - then let them know when you'll be away . Worked for me .:(
