Received the awful news of a shipmate I sailed with during my time in Bahrain had passed. Life perspective moments occur far too often and too easily forgotten in our day to day lives. Fair winds and following seas to those that have come before us and are no longer with us.

I have a couple knives like that, with one side much darker. I always thought one side was in the sun on a dresser-top for too long, or the knife was always carried same side out in the pocket. If it came out of the box that way, I would guess a variation between dye batches.
But that is an uninformed guess, like most of my guesses.

Not yet - that is for sure! We cashed out high and were planning to move across the country for work, but were approached by a close family friend on hospice - we are caretaking and paying rent for the next short chapter. It will give us some time to sink some into investments and for the market to come down. Win win I guess But man do I hate moving all the things our family accumulates!!
