Thank you kindly my friend, that's an impressive pair of vintage Imperials  :)
Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)
It seems to have taken me a long time to post today (phone keeps ringing)! It's early afternoon here now, and I've had these two in my pocket all day, my Bagpipe Ebony Big 'Un, and an Old Friend, in the form of this Case Stockman, which was the prize in the first giveaway I ever won here :) Thanks F Fanglekai

Hard to beat the trusty old stockman, unless you add a beefy Bagpipe Lambsfoot; outstanding pairing for today, Jack! 😁:thumbsup:

Far out! I’m totin’ a black Böker today too!View attachment 1651413
Very nice Greasepiggy, I’m blown away by how nice these things are. 😎👍
Thanks, Todd. That’s very nice of you to say. I guess it’s just a photogenic knife. No checks from Case yet; but I’ll keep looking. 😁

I love all the new Bokers you’ve been picking up. They’re putting out some awesome knives lately.
Thanks Sacto, they really are, and Case is making a big mistake! 😄
What a beautiful photo Heimdall82, those Bikers are amazing. 😎👍
;)

I'm glad you're keeping it as-is. You might not want more than one knife in glitter gold, but isn't it fun? I saw someone wearing a sparkly gold motorcycle helmet yesterday and thought, "Yeah, I'll carry the Gold TC tomorrow."

Next to Grandpa's old knife:

You are so right Rachel, they are fun, and this hobby should be fun, and I always liked those glitter helmets!
😎👍
Sparkle Plenty.

I know where y’all got that name ~ the Dick Tracy character, B.O.Plenty.

Did your Dad have a Two Way Wrist Radio®️ also?

I’m pretty sure you nailed it Jeff although I don’t recall him ever really saying he got it from Dick Tracy. Never saw a two way wrist watch either. 😄

Very sorry for your sad news Jon, sincere condolences :(
Thank you Jack. It’s another one of those moments that makes you sit back and think. Specifically here I think of the knife community as it is today. There are times when negativity takes over with questions of motives of others, fairness of processes and drops, and anxiety over knives. That won’t go away I understand, but I couldn’t help but reflect on how I have been with all of these things and yet there are children now without a father. I have young children, and he was younger than me. I’ve probably rambled and went kind of deep, but hopefully perspective can take over without having to wait for the forum knife to be in the review mirror or any new gec release for that matter.

Got chores to do to prep our place for the upcoming winter. We've already got snow just above us at 5500 feet (we're at 4800 feet) with night time temperatures dipping into the twenties. The heaters are set and have been turning on for the last four nights. This Buck 2-blade (clip and sheepsfoot) 301 Stockman came in yesterday's mail. It'll get some use today and maybe throughout the whole weekend.

The “S” word!
Wow~ I just planted a bunch of spinach, green onions, and lettuce, but our average killing frost is late November. And the spinach and onions will overwinter and spring up after snow melt.
But my walnut trees know it’s coming. The leaves are coming down.
It looks like Buck liked our idea on the ‘18 Forum Knife, and made it a production model.

Yes Jeff. It's a solid knife and well copied from our 2018 Forum Knife.

Just in the last two weeks, we've had temperatures in the 90s and nightly lows in the 30s. One year we had a pretty good crop of tomatoes and peppers going and in the last week of May we had a hard frost and lost everything. We actually get hard frosts into the last week of June regularly.
