Something different...a Higonokami. Traditional Japanese folder. Sanmai construction. Rustic but functional and really really sharp after a couple of passes on the stones.

My GEC 66 jack came in the mail today. It went right to my pocket. I was carrying the Bulldog canoe up till then.

The picture is particularly bad, but there is no decent weather here for my usual outdoor shots. I'll put up better ones when the weather cooperates with me.

That's one of the things that makes me shy of buying stag, but the covers on this knife are fine. They are not perfectly matched but both sides are good and the knife is a great size, just under "big". It's the size of this particular pattern that attracted me to it. I can tell it's going to be well liked by me.

True... and Ive already cut myself with it! I think it will go with me on a regular basis. The money for it is going toward the Tsunami victims so it was a good buy.
