What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I’m sorry, Todd, now that I don’t have to be in there for work, O’Hare Field is as far as I go.
And speaking of which, I’m out the door for the aeropuerte right now. My two youngest grandkids are coming!😍🥳😚
How exciting Jeff! I hate going to airports, but when you’re picking up loved ones it’s worth it. Have a safe trip and enjoy those grandkids. 😊👍

This one's in my pocket for my walk with the Setters this morning -- Toby Hill/mammoth ivory...

Climbing into my BF Time Machine to go back over a week to find some posts that deserve comment IMHO.

Terrific trio of knives, Jeff!

Congrats on the new Case American Workman canoe!:thumbsup::thumbsup: When my first canoe arrived, I planned to carry it for a week, but ended up carrying it for a month straight; now I have almost 4 dozen canoes! 😲

Your Queen canoe is very regal!:cool::thumbsup:

Red hot pair, José! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Sounds like a good time, Todd!:cool::cool: I miss my old teammates from the Shady Oak Bombers slo-pitch team I played with for almost a decade back in the 70s and 80s. Looks like several beers on that board I'd like to try! 🤓

I enjoyed seeing your photos of the museum, Jack, and you had a thrilling threesome of folders to take with you. I know you're partial to your stag HHB, but that rosewood HHB is a fine piece of cutlery as well!:thumbsup::cool:

Sumptuous sowbelly, Gev; great to see you posting more regularly again!:thumbsup::cool:

I don't know art, but I know what I like, and I really like this photo, Jeff!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I always get confused this time of year when I read or hear, "Go Bucs!" I think to myself, "Baseball is over; why cheer for the Pittsburgh Pirates now?" o_O I suppose baseball has always been, and will always be, closer to my heart than football.

Belated condolences on your loss.
Great job of "spiffing up" those knives for the grandsons to remember their granddad!:cool::thumbsup:

I really enjoy seeing your carvings, Jon!:cool::thumbsup: I think I prefer seeing them before painting so it's easier for me to see some of the "strokes" you used to achieve various effects.

That's a vintage pair filled with vitality, Steve!:cool::cool:

Thanks, John. :) There's some "inner glow" near the butt end of the mark side that I cherish!

Voluptuous pair of vintage SAKs, JJ!:thumbsup::cool:

Bruce and Will, those brown bone washboard Bökers are sensational!:thumbsup::cool:

Good-looking spread, John!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I've enjoyed your morning fire shots, too. May I suggest that maybe you could use the fire to heat the meat a bit longer?? ;) 🤓

Outstanding knife and impressive fish!!:cool::thumbsup:

Congrats on the grandchild, Dave!:cool::thumbsup:

😁 😁

I think that's the situation for me, as well. 🤓

Good advice.:thumbsup: The city emptied our "yard waste cart" on Tuesday, and I don't teach a class on Wednesday, so I was able to get home before dark and fill the cart again with all the piles I'd been accumulating over the past week.

Sounds like you have an effective leaf disposal system, Jeff!:cool::cool: I miss the little leaf shredder we used to have. It was essentially like the head of an electric string trimmer in the bottom of a hopper/funnel. I'd set it on top of a trash can and dump leaves into the top, and the whirling "strings" would shred the leaves as they fell through into the trash can. It would reduce the volume of the leaves to about 1/4 or 1/5 of their unshredded volume, so the yard waste cart didn't fill up nearly as quickly. But the motor burned out and I couldn't find another one. Should look again for a similar contraption.

Boffo brace of Bökers, Todd!:thumbsup::cool:

Your old Kabar stockman is sensational!:thumbsup::cool:

Congrats on getting one of those curved stag Bulldog Barlows, Paul; very fetching folder!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you X 2, Gary!
Back in the sixties, Grandpa & Grandma subscribed to Rodale’s Organic Gardening and Farming magazine. From an ad in the back, they bought a Kenp garden shredder. It won’t handle sticks and stringy weed stems, but it’s a champ on dry leaves. Chopped up fine like that, they break down into compost fast. Of course, I have to add greens/nitrogen in. Unshredded leaves take way too long. This stuff will be next spring’s seedbeds.

Shady Oaks Bombers slow pitch softball?
When I first read that, I read Shady Oaks Rest Home. I think I’m feeling my age today!🤣

These three have been used around the house this weekend. The Moki is new, I have wanted one for a few years.

Doing some housekeeping. My football team (Patriots) played Thursday night, so not much interest today. Probably put the Bills on in the background, since Patriots play them twice in December. Hopefully get a snow game then.

Guess I'll go with these for a couple or few days.
CASE TB61028W DAM Mediterranean Blue Stag Bone(?) Teardrop with Ladder Damascus Wharncliffe blade.
Rough Rider RR719 Yellow Synthetic Barlow.
With all the Barlows being shown lately, I got a hankering to carry one of mine.View attachment 1686376
Should work for fancy Sunday and Sunny Yellow ___day pocket carry.
Forgot to put the Toferner Celtic pocket/neck knife in the picture. Just figure I'll have it around my neck from now on.
