What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today I carried a Case Chestnut CV Swayback Jack, a SAK "Corona" Knife (Single blade for slicing the lime and a bottle opener). Had a Opinel garden knife in my yard work tool pouch.

Greg

Today it was a vintage Remington Easy Opener with Green Celluloid scales that have started to shrink, but for $25.00 it is a very nice user.

This one got to get out of the house today.. 4 dot red bone

Now thats a beaut Mike

I gotta keep my eyes out for some red bone, that is too gorgeous.

Peter

ps: Here's what I've been carrying for the last few weeks:

Thanks Peter... Some of the redbone really is perrty. If you buy on line make sure they have good pics because some of the redbone can be very dark, almost black. Be careful though, they can be addictive :D. But then again most of them are.

Great pic as always. I gotta start getting a little more creative
We are just getting ready to head up in the hills and scout for deer and elk and Travis just slipped his yeller peanut in pocket :D

Real proud of this one, given to me by a generous forumite. A fistful of stockman. Schlieper 4 1/4 inch carbon steel (forged I believe).

(BTW-I kept my promise;))

That knife looks familiar, I believe I am the original owner, traded or sold it some time ago. Nice to see it is getting used:cool:.

I've carried this one a few times in the past, but for some reason this morning I got bit by the "small knife bug"....
I hope this doesn't become an addiction like other patterns in the past, because I've been doing real good about not buying anymore knives....:D

You mean "Jackknife" syndrome? I get that too on occassion. ;)

When it happens I seek relief by sticking a peanut or 3" barlow in the coin pocket of my jeans.

BTW, nice little Schrade. I also forgot to mention that the redbone jack you posted before has some gorgeous bone. I like that white spot at the end. Real nice!

Thanks TF.. You have a few nice early Case knives yourself

I lucked out on the 6207, the backside matches the front very well.

Besides a Victorinox Spartan, I carried a working knife of Friedrich Herder with me.

This kind of knives used to be very popular here in the northern parts of the Netherlands and I think it still is, many shops specialised in knives, scissors and related tools still sell them. There are even some sayings here, like "mien Herder is mien redder" (my Herder is my rescuer/saviour (not sure about correct English translation).

Below is a picture. I have this knife since 1994 and I still use it a lot.

I believe we'd call that a Sodbuster pattern here in the states. Nice looking knife. Love that handle.

I'm home recuperating from a surgery last night, so I get to carry a full size knife instead of the PC knife I have to carry at work. Today I'm carrying a mid-sized Camillus trapper with Delrin scales and carbon steel blades that I got for Father's day. At 3 3/4" closed it's a tad larger than a Case mini-trapper. Funny how that 1/4" makes a difference in the feel of a knife. I had a mini-trapper, but I like the feel of this better.

Since I just got through making a post about it, thought I would come here and tell the world that I'm back to my Case 2-bladed Copperhead and loving it!

Today, it's what the postman fetched all the way from your USA:D

CASE Slimline Trapper/Utility knife in G-10

This is my first G-10 knife and I'm most taken with it .New School meets Trad Old School in an excellent fashion. Like all recent CASE knives it seems very well finished,no gaps, wobble or rough edges. The blade is in brushed matte stainless and this really suits a working knife, looks well with that black handle too esp the Barehead pattern:thumbup: It joins a family of Yellow Handle, Brown Delrin&Pocket Worn Bermuda Green Slimline Trappers and 2 Queen Cutlery Utility knives, D2 in CSB and ASB. I LIKE this pattern, slim:thumbup:

Today I'm carrying a Case Trapper 6254W. SS blades, the secondary being a wharncliff, and the handles are purple bone. Very beautiful knife, I only wish the wharncliff had more curve to the spine.

Today I carried a SAK Explorer, Classic SD, Case Canoe Antique Bone, and a Hen & Rooster Copperhead Natural Bone.

Today I carried my Super Tinker

I had not got out the Amber Bone in a while. I really missed them. I believe it is my favorite.
