What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

At the risk of sounding too cynical, someone might have been intending to re-stamp them with a more rare/valuable name.

It's a double Boker day for me:

Or maybe it was a second? Or Camillus Xed over or ground off a lot of tang stamps when they were going under. Some of them are unfinished, and a few of them look fine.
Both are possible.
But the tang stamp is still there, just smeared to be illegible. I think I can still make out “Prov. USA”. Here’s a pic...336FCB65-1FE7-46C3-8437-A0EA43F9B63D.jpegIt’s a nice knife, but definitely has a light duty feel to it. In a way, precisely what I don’t look for in this pattern.
And I think I was wrong about the wood~ this is rosewood/cocobolo.7F091067-141D-46C4-B501-580E5DCDB035.jpeg

All of my raised beds are getting dismantled and relocated so I can extend some in ground beds. My plan is putting a long raised bed along the outside of my fence, and filling it with kitchen herbs as well as plants that attract pollinators and predatory insects.
So time to move the green onions into the fridge.

I think I see what you mean. That looks worn from use, which doesn't square with unused or NOS.
Chalk that up to my inability to hold the ifone steady enough for a close up.
It’s clearly been polished out on a buffing wheel with some grade of buffing compound. It has the high gloss ripples. Plus, there is none of the rubbing from opening and closing that all knives get with use.

Hey! Would you like it? Like I said, it’s nice, but I’ll never carry it because I have others.
Send me a PM and it’s yours. Maybe you can figure out the mystery!

Sure! Thanks. I am part Rhode Islander, after all.
