What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Very nice  I'd have had some pics up of my new pocket sheath today, but left my bag with my camera in it at my girlfriend's yesterday.

Thanks. No worries about those snaps.
Hey, remind me to take you to the Kings Head next time....not a pint on the board more than £2.60!!!

I am carrying my GEC 66 jack today.

Arrrgggghhj another one!
And a VERY attractive example too.

Just took a quick shot of my "ugly duckling" 76. My pup didn't want to let me edit so you will have to do with this cell pic :D

Nice 66 Jeff, need to see some updates!

The Fruitport is packaged up on its way back to GEC. I noticed the pin nearest the bolster holding the shield side stag cover to the liner was loose within a fraction of a mm tolerance. I am fine hammering down on pivots but I don't have the confidence to work with stag this thin and nice, especially not on a brand new gift. I don't have the tools to spin the pin either. Its just out of my league at the moment :)

Soon it should be back and better than new.

Thanks Doug! I wanted the smooth bone for my user. My Ivory version is strictly a dress knife carried in the slip. I could not find any smooth bone so I went for the stag. It is less elegant than the smooth bone/ivory but I like it very much. It has a more rugged feel and look that made it EASY for me to put in directly into my pocket for daily carry and use. I have warmed up the the 76 gunstock and that secondary pen blade a lot though, so what will be will be :)

Thanks guys.

I have the slips that came with my two Scagels and they are so stiff that they are unusable.

Any suggestions on how to make them more pliant?

Wish I had bought the ivory when they were available. Ah, well . . .

Nothing "ugly duckling" about that knife. I could really get crazy with the GEC jacks.

Very nice!!!

Oh, nice set o' knives!

I like the blade/tool selection of the one on the left very much, especially in that size.

Thanks pertinux. The Imperial was a recent bay score that turned out to be really nice.

Thanks Ed!

Tom,

Squeeze the slip in your hand compressing the stitched together sides. This pressure makes the slip's slot open into an oval an the knife falls right in. Release the pressure and it holds tight. To take it out just squeeze it and let the knife slide out. :)
