What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Ed!

Tom,

Squeeze the slip in your hand compressing the stitched together sides. This pressure makes the slip's slot open into an oval an the knife falls right in. Release the pressure and it holds tight. To take it out just squeeze it and let the knife slide out. :)

Kevin

Thanks, Kevin.

I meant to say the slips are as stiff as the pulls on some of my Lloyds.
;)

Your welcome, Tom. Yup mine are both very thick high grade leather. Very firm but they mold to shape after a while and function even better in the fashion I described.

I figured I'd tote my small Douk-Douk along with the #53 today, as Cognet's seem to have had a bit of mention recently.

It's a folded, sheet metal frame, with a XC75 carbon (not stainless) blade.

This is their classic 'Sorcier' with Turkish clip blade and blued handle.

might have to take a peak over at heinniehaynes for one!

I've been toting an opinel today, love the laser beam!

Nice 66 Jeff, need to see some updates!

The Fruitport is packaged up on its way back to GEC. I noticed the pin nearest the bolster holding the shield side stag cover to the liner was loose within a fraction of a mm tolerance. I am fine hammering down on pivots but I don't have the confidence to work with stag this thin and nice, especially not on a brand new gift. I don't have the tools to spin the pin either. Its just out of my league at the moment :)

Soon it should be back and better than new.

Kevin

Anything to preserve that stag, its a looker for sure :)

Here are a few pics I just took of the 66

Gosh, we have Lloyds in Switzerland, no less.

I am glad his skill is getting recognized.
