I love the wallet wrapped in string. My Grandpa used to do that too. Never know when you'll need string.

I think you may have more slips than knives.

It’s a small note pad. My son gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago. He got it while he and his wife were living in Edinburgh. It’s probably from there, but could have come from anywhere in Europe. They used to watch for deals, and would fly off there for dirt cheap~ like 14 euros round trip. I’ll have to ask him.
Kind of hate to scribble it up~ the paper is gorgeous and is sewn into the leather.

Nicely done! Very classy with the white bolsters and brass against the oak. What is the bolster material? Bone or stag?

tnx B The bolsters on this one is Elforyn. It´s artificial Ivory. I didn´t have enough stag when I made it, so I went with Elforyn instead. It´s nice to work with and smells good, but will not take a shine like bone or stag do. I have done a couple in "barlow style" with only bolster at the main blade, on those I went with stag

Just finished washing my truck, in a couple of hours we’re going to drive north and pick up the older daughter and SIL in Washington and go for steamed oysters at Sunnyside in Williamston. After dinner ride up to Windsor to see what’s said to be a splendid Christmas light display. Really looking forward to the balance of the day - need to vacuum the truck cab and we’ll be ready to leave - Schrade USA Uncle Henry with me today - two of em! OH
