What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Two for Tuesday :)

Mike, your Eureka Jack looks great! Did it meet your expectations?

Quite happy with it Gary. Also glad it arrived in time for Christmas, but no way is it waiting under the tree until Saturday. Straight into the pocket to get to know each other ;)

Cheers!

Mine is a Christmas present too. I told my wife she can have it for wrapping Christmas eve.
My argument is, I'm old ,and you just never know! 🌲 :D

Alox Knife of the Week is the same Old Cross Pioneer (hanging out with a Minichamp I always carry) I carried last week:

non-Alox SAK of the Week is a Recruit (thanks, Greg):

Bailed non-SAK of the Week is an Imperial Kamp King that I bought the Saturday before COVID came to my town:

International Knife this week is an Okapi Biltong:

The only knife I brought to radiology, and just as well, because there was no locker. She had me take my pants down after she'd loaded me onto the follower and draped me with a sheet. Keys, coins, knife, all over the floor.

There are no obvious immediate death knells in my CT report, but about the nicest thing they had to say was that my urinary bladder is unremarkable.

We check our dignity and pride at the clinic doors.

So, ambiguously good news?

Mine has pride of place in my tool box :)

👍
Boy, that’s a fine one. I’d call it a vintage traditional. Yes, I use a utility knife~ uglier than yours~ because there are things I hate to abuse my knives on~cardboard, drywall, tarpaper etc.
Thanks, Jeff. They make good beater knives for sure. My old one doesn’t have a retractable blade, but it’s got a cool look.
My Dad would only use a Stanley Utility Knife. For reasons unknown to me, he hated pocket knives... I think they were too low-brow for him.
To me utility knives seem more low brow than a pocket knife. 🤷‍♂️

Merry Christmas to you as well!
I got mine for five bucks at the flea market.
I have spare flints, and plenty of fluid, so as I see it, I’m set. I don’t dare go down that rabbit hole of even looking at other ones! If/when I lose this one, I can look for another. I can be bad about accumulating things.

I hope it comes out like this~

To attempt a Christmas-ish color theme, I’m using a Camillus stockman I re-handled in smooth elk. It’s close enough to white to pretend. It was either that or one of the Camillus jacks in Ivoroid, which is also sort of white.View attachment 1706173And Manny says Merry Christmas.View attachment 1706174
