So you are the one! Checking the Bay everyday for knives I might have wanted?
View attachment 1712848Can’t blame ya. It’s not like we can just pop on down to Sears, pick one out, and put it on our Sears Revolving Chargeanymore.
It’s my favorite meal of the year. I hope yours brings you good fortune in the new year!Black eyed peas and collard greens here today as well, though my wife won’t let me help with any of it. Hope it brings omens for a great year.
It was my poor attempt at being cleverWhat a “fun” post Jon! (See what I did there?)
Thanks Todd. The thought of that cold hurt my bones, but then I took comfort in the 70’s it is here tonightNice stag Jon. The Winter Classic is going to be a cold one for sure!![]()
Glad you seemed to have missed most of the ice Mike, that stuff can be really dangerous. It is fun rediscovering a nice knife. Our basement is a mess because I’m doing a little finishing work down there and I’ve got knives stuffed in boxes all over the place that I’ll no doubt “rediscover” someday if I ever finish this project.I forgot how nice this slim trapper in Black Cherry Winterbottom jigged bone is. That's either the problem, or the beauty, of having too many knives - you feel bad about neglecting thembut it's fun to rediscover one

Happy New Year!
I hope 2022 brings an epic run from GEC that can compare with the 78’s from a few years ago.
bigfish64 , you earlier asked about my colt. These photographs show him in March and then December of 2021. Quite a difference! Thanks for your interest.
Beautiful sentiments Yann,Corto_Malt . I share your concerns.

Thanks, John.
Love the guy canoeing on a foggy morning!
Thanks, Jeff. We’ll be here all week.
Your Stag Lamb Foot from Jack’s sfo is near the top of your best looking knives, Gary.
Each of my lambsfoot knives has a resurgence about every 2 months due to the rotation schedule. (They resemble COVID-19 in that way.The ACs seem to be making a resurgence this week.![]()

Ravishing red Farmer, ED!What with all the snow we've been having here I thought this would be a good day to "go Swiss" so, I broke out my Red Alox Farmer and slipped it in my pocket. It's snowing like crazy as I post this so, maybe it'll come in handy.

Your old Böker and big ebony lambsfoot make a striking couple, Rachel.I haven't had much use for the upside-down-writing capabilities, but have come to appreciate the portability of the little Bullet Pen. This pandemic hasn't done my germaphobia any favors, and I like to use my own pen at the bank, etc.
I've got Old Friend and Black Friday knives riding along today. Have a happy and safe New Year, everyone!

Congrats on the new Christmas Böker, Todd!A Christmas knife that I’m finally getting around to posting. Boker Barlow black Micarta and N690 steel. View attachment 1712332Hope you all have safe and happy New Year’s Eve celebrations.![]()
Thanks for the info, Bruce. Thanks GT, I've had this one a while now (Carpenters Whittler and a fairly close match to the Camillus #72). I think it's originally an Ulster knife, made by Schrade (but I could be wrong - I've seen the same knife with the Ulster stamp but don't know when it was introduced). Those two brands have a very intertwined history. Dale Orvet, in his extensive Schrade research lists, published on AAPK, shows it as an open stock pattern, offered from 1953-1980 in that line. I don't know about the Camillus dates. OH
