What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Have a nice ride, I do not miss pushing snow around.

Paraphrasing Foster Brooks:

People ask what I think of standard transmissions, I dislike them. You’ve got a gas pedal for the right foot, a clutch for the left foot. How do you expect me to work the pedal in the middle?

Also, what do I think of STP? It’s delicious.

Foster Brooks on with Johnny Carson~

How about Presidential candidate Pat Paulson?

Both come from a time in my life when one Schrade in my pocket, one on my dresser, and a filet knife in my tackle box was all I needed.

Remember 2021? The posts quoted below are SO last year.
🤣
Notable pair, Jack! When I first saw your Boker Atlas, I thought that I should get some kind of knife with copper or brass handle. The Atlas model with those metals seems to go out of stock quickly here, compared to the stainless steel handle Atlas (with black or silver covers). I've also been looking at Mercators with copper or brass handles; not sure which I prefer yet.
I didn't buy knives last year Gary, the copper-handled Atlas seemed Covid-appropriate ;) I have several Boker Plus knives with drop-point blades, got a slight hollow-grind, and come razor sharp
Striking knife, Jack!
Thanks buddy :)
Thank you most kindly, Jack!!! :)

You can't get much cooler than a pen knife with a ruler; wonderful Metal Monday pairing with your sweet HHB! 😁
Thank you very much JJ, my grandmother, great grandmother, and an uncle worked at the James Chesterman factory, where the rulers for most Sheffield-made Ruler Knives were manufactured, possibly a few more relatives too
Tasty pairs, Jack, both knives and bagels!
Thanks pal, I'm having the same cinnamon & raisin bagels for breakfast tomorrow ;)
Two winners, Jack!
Thanks again Gary, you're very kind :)
Toting metal and micarta today. :)
That's an interesting combination JJ, very cool

Thank you!
It looks like you’ve found your multiquoting mojo with the new year!
I have to limit mine, because typing a mistake and deleting it causes the quoted headers to jumble up.

Maybe you could offer multiquoting tutoring. And maybe you could get photochopping (manufacturing evidence is what I call it) lessons from B BrotherJim !

Micarta Monday

great looking pair!

Blind Squirrel Skills. 😁

Good choices for your back to school carry. 🤠
Thanks John. 😊👍
That’s an awesome looking boker. The little rattler might be defective. There’s still an etch on it 🤣
I know, I need to start cutting my grapes and cherry tomatoes before I eat them. 🤣
Good luck Todd, to you and all our other chalkies ;) :)
Thanks Jack, it might be an interesting semester. 😊
Congrats on the elegant Tribal Lock, Mike, and props to Todd for his generosity!!
Thanks Gary, I was returning the generosity started by Mike mbkr mbkr when he gave me that beautiful little Boker. 😉👍

Micarta Monday
Quality pairing as usual, Taylor.
Magnificent sowbelly stockman, Jeremy!

Thanks Gary. It checks a lot of boxes for me: only stag, only sowbelly, only Queen, etc, and was a thoughtful gift from John.

Carrying my favorite micarta 74 today wishing I was at the beach instead of dealing with the snow coming down outside.

Thanks for the superb sunrise shots with Merle! Did he object to getting up at that hour?
I was mesmerized by the reflections in your photos, especially that little hexagon/honeycomb wearing a halo in the middle pic. Can't figure out what caused it!
They’re actually sunset shots sir 😄 Idk about Merle but I might object to making it to the beach for a sunrise shot, especially with the early morning 405 traffic 😅 I believe that halo in the pic is the reflection of my iPhone lens
