What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Wonderful Sleeveboard, it's a pattern I'd really like GEC to have a shot at. Don't think they could match that superb jigging though....

Regards, Will
Thanks, Will. I've wished for GEC to make a sleeveboard like it as well. The #09 Esquire by GEC is a attractive pattern, (one I don't own) but a larger stretched out version say
3-5/8" to 3-3/4" would be perfect in my mind. If they ever do I hope they release around 10,000 of them so I could have a chance of getting in on one.:)

Okay, that Brook Trout knife is totally awesome!
It took every ounce of will power to not go order one for myself.

I have bought instant tea granules,I have let England and all proper tea drinkers down 🤣

I thought it would be easier when I am out and about,I’ve had 2 cups today and it tastes surprisingly good.

Paired with a bacon butty (using northern bread) it hits the spot. 😍

Billy Barlow on duty as ever.

When I was a youth, and starting to drive, the pickup had a clutch, a brake pedal, an accelerator pedal, a dimmer switch, and a STARTER PEDAL, all on the floor and I would have occasion to use all of them at the same time rarely, but for one thing... there were no brakes. For that, I had a nice assortment of blocks of wood and a rock on the seat beside me. To stop, I would circle a hill until I figured that I could step out and quickly throw a chunk in front of a wheel. It often worked. But sometimes... That IS a true story. Learning to shift those old non-synchro trannies was interesting as well. Nowadays, I just put the outfit on cruise control, crawl into the back seat, and wake me when we are there.

I once bought a van knowing it had nor reverse gear,I lived in a cul de sac at the time (stupid and short of money). 🤣

I had to turn around by opening my door and pushing the car back with my leg.

I would drive around car parks until I found a space I could drive into and out without reversing, the madness of youth 😅

Thanks, John. I was blown away when I first saw the customs that it is based on, and I think the Boker is a nice production version.

I’m hoping to carry a small fixed blade more this year. I’ve talked about this before, that I really like the idea but never quite know the best way to carry one.

This is the knife I'll be packing today. It is currently in my mailbox (delivered to the mailbox yesterday afternoon and I just didn't feel like driving up and getting it) but I'll pick it up, unwrap it, and pocket it on the way to town for our Tuesday routine of mailing bills, chowing down at the Wagon Wheel Cafe, and picking up a few groceries at the Holiday Market and Four Corners grocery store.
