surf trivia for the uninitiated
the Disney character, Goofy, went to Hawaii in 1937, and was shown surfing with his right foot forward, most surfers stand with left foot forward. So right foot forward people, are called Goofy Footed to this day. The left foot guys are called Regular Footed..
see the video at 7 minutes 40 seconds, Goofy starts out Regular, then at 7:50 he switches to Goofy

Got another early start and another long day lined up for tomorrow, plus I have to travel and go through a couple of large train stations, so it's going to have to be just the Vic Classic :(

Is your choice in cutlery a response to security? Are things getting tighter there in the train stations? I remember when I was in the station in Edinburgh last year, the missus turns to me and says "I know this is a dumb question, but do you have a knife on you?" LOL. I did "nervously" and discreetly, hand her my small, non-locking Spyderco to remove a luggage tag. Next time will be a peanut or a Vic classic, if at all :(

Yes, I'm afraid it is. Sometimes at the big stations they set up metal-detector portals. There was a case a few years ago of an elderly doctor passing through the train station in the town where I live with a Swiss Army knife on him. He was arrested and held for several hours despite the fact the folder he was carrying was UK legal :(

I really find stories like this disheartening. On other forums, I've discussed knives, firearms, and self defense rights with people all over the globe (mostly from the US). It really makes me sad and a little mad. I hope to visit England in the future, I won't bring any firearms.... I might not should even bring a Case Peanut, but I hope to remember to ask you more.

Today it's my Case Peanut in Chestnut Bone CV. Haven't needed it for anything yet today, but it's sitting there in a pocket waiting in case I do.

Me too, particularly where visitors are concerned. Please let me know if you're heading over, I can always have a pocket carry waiting for you ;)

:D Thanks. I only got to visit Amsterdam when I was in Europe before (On my way to the UAE for work), I really should have taken some time off and come up that way. Wife and I plan to make England our first Europe trip together.... and we have to go to the Guinness Brewery and Ireland to see how different it really is!
