What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Right back at ya Kev and we are all workin with what we got brother, part of this great journey called life. Amazing how we all sway and swing from patterns, come back and then drift more. I love going back and reading my old posts, I have ate a lot of crow in a short time ;)

Sarah's penchant for blue bone and nice pictures pushed me over the edge. I must say that I like the blue bone quite a bit myself now that I have one in hand to see how nice it is.

Wow, Ed-- if I in any way inspired your seeking out the above knife, I'm glad. It's one of the best examples of Case's (navy) blue bone I've seen. As others have noted, I particularly like the richness of the central color giving way to translucence near the bolsters. You got a looker, for sure!

I will also note again, with a smile, that it's your love of the wharncliffe mini copperhead and excellent picture of the same that wooed me to that pattern to begin with.

A good circle to be going 'round on, I do believe. :)

I've been carrying this Panama Trapper since it got here the other day... 4" Case antique peach
seed jigged bone and A2 etched. Kerry did a wonderful job! (Kerry's photo)

As the saying goes, what goes around, comes around. This has made full circle now. As for the picture - every once in a while that Kodak point and shoot will do something good. It sure isn't my expertise in photography that was able to capture the niceness of those covers. As far as seeking out this knife, I just ordered from a vendor that has good pricing; it was the luck of the draw as I bought it sight unseen.

I used the imitation pearl handled one this afternoon. My blue one was still in my church pants, so I picked that one up in the shop to cut the bottom out of a quart oil can to make a funnel. I forgot and set it on top of the radiator/fan shroud. It made a trip to town and back before I realized I didn't know where it was. Pulled the hood latch and it fell out. Pure luck kept me from losing it to a dumb stunt. I noticed after the last time I carried it (and it happened to be the first time as well) that a crack had started in the acrylic (or whatever it is). I stabilized it with thin CA and after its ride this afternoon it is still stable. I don't have a photo. I was a bit sloppy with the CA, but didn't want to chance damaging the material with acetone to remove the excess. It is now used, abused, mistreated and back home. I'm still partial to the wharncliffe models, but had to have a clip model to find out.

Since Monday is my day off and I am wearing jeans while getting work done around the house, I have these two Case knives in my pockets, 6244 jack (thanks again Paul!) and peanut.
