Running with the MCH and this photo is not particularly good, but you can see the character it is developing as it gets carried.

Ed, you're taunting me with your Mini Copperhead pics. I am still on the trail of one in a handle style I like. I'm thinking that since it's been almost 2 weeks now with my order in a "pending" state and no replies to inquiries, that the Kinfolks version in honey brown jigged bone is probalby not really in stock like the vendor's web site says.

I've got my eye on another one in Amber Bone (not as nice of a jigging and coloration pattern as yours) but it's on a long-duration auction so no joy there.

HOWEVER, of the two "tours of country hardware stores" I had laid out, with the southern drive exhausted, this weekend I'm going to drive the northern loop and see what may still be sitting on some dusty shelf, unsold. Even if I can't find one, it's still a treat getting to visit and chat with the folks at those places.

And on topic (but sadly without pics of it), I was bereft of traditional blade all day today due to leaving the house without one. Once I got home I grabbed up my trusty Case Copperlock in Second Cut Antique Bone and wielded it against some freeze-dried duck liver treats for the cats, opened a bit of mail, and cut the tape and plastic wrapping off of some Valentine's chocolates which my sweetie and I shared a few of, a day early.

think tomorrow i'm gonna have to give my new precious a chance ;)

man i already love the bigger clip blade compared to the mini-trapper or texas jack

Jack Black,

Are the saw teeth taped up or what?

Sorry for the slow reply. Because of the server problems, I was barely able to get on yesterday. There's a saw-guard that slips over the blade. I think it's a really well-designed and useful safety feature, bearing in mind the position of the combination tool. I'm surprised Victorinox don't fit one on the Safari.

Thanks Jack - I do my best bringing those nice knives across the big ocean :)

About your second beer from above... Frankonia has the most small breweries in the world. These guys make fine bavarian beer. Good taste, Jack!

Thanks Andi, I drink that beer, and others from that brewery, quite often, on draught also. I also know that Pete (Stich) is a fan :) It snowed heavily here yesterday, and I had to shelter in a bar. Had some Nogne Oaked Sunturn Brew, Partizan IPA, Sierra Nevada Torpedo, and Breckel's Brown Ale :)

Thanks! I just took more pictures outside....
