What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It looks like you mean business yourself today my friend :) I love your Kephart, and that's a great pairing
Thank you very much, Jack!!! I am definitely a big fan of the Kephart's simple and highly flexible design. :)
Carrying my regular Hartshead Barlow today, and a Random Tuesday BSA Scout I won in abbydaddy 's giveaway a few years back :) Have a good day everyone

The BSA Scout's are still my favorite "multi blade" design; along with the magical Lambsfoot slicer you're set for nearly anything! 😁

…obscured pull/ nail nick discussion continued. On a spear, the blade sits so low unlike a clip or sheepsfoot that the pull/nick on primary can get blocked by secondary blade and the situation becomes worse when a long swedge is present. All these are two blade TCs and you can see the potential issue, a problem dispensed with when secondary is placed behind primary like top example or the nick on main blade is placed correctly as on second from top but that prevents long swedge. I love carrying this little Rough Ryder barlow. I know it's not expensive or made from super steel but it's comfortable to use holds a good edge for quite a while. I usually just have to strop it to bring it back to shaving sharp. A knife doesn't have to be expensive to be a good knife. I have some expensive knives but this is one of my favorites.
 Carried and used a $20 non-traditional Buck today. Can't show a pic of it of course, so here's a 6247 just arrived today

Thanks Jack. 😊👍
"Randomly" picked my favorite 86 to go with my new lambsfoot.

Those two make a great pair Jeremy. 😎👍
I fished the Case out of the bay a few years ago. I had to have it because of the old John Prine song
“Well, I’m sorry my son, but you’re too late in askin. Mr. Peabody’s coal train has hauled it away.”
Cool, love the stories behind the knives.
😎👍
After having a real contender for the single day record snowfall around here yesterday, (2-3 feet high in the back yard) time to kick back some….View attachment 1723735
