What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I bought and put new Victorinox cellidor scales on it a couple of years ago. The old ones were chipped and just really in bad shape. My wife, then girlfriend, found this in the grass on campus in 1978, and turned it over to the proper authority ~ me. That was a clue that she might be a keeper.
Nice story Jeff :)
Quality combination Jon :)
Beautiful picture, Jack... Have fun in town. 🤠
Thanks pal :)
I've got the little Ranger along for Thrifty Thursday.

And my Charlie Lamb for balance in the Force...
Those two combine nicely John, I like the little Ranger :)
Thanks John. I’m trying to get some of my lesser used knives in my pockets. That’ll probably mean I have multiple straight blades on some days, but that is a first world problem I’m willing to confront.
What you need is Old Friends Friday! :D ;)
Beautiful Taramundi
Nessmi and Brent Cramer Lanny's Clip Jr. Today.

When I put the morning's jeans in the wash, I found I'd been carrying the Normark, too.

Those two look good together Rachel :) I hope you get some warmer weather soon
Toting these two red bones today. :)
Handsome pair JJ :) The covers on the GEC always make me think of red liquorice! :D
I'm carrying a favorite today. :)

A gorgeous Red Trout sheepsfoot made by Eric of Alber's Cutlery. I'd say I hope Mr. Lanigan is resting easy, but I'm not so sure that was his style. The man was an exceptionally gifted raconteur, and I wish I could have heard more of his stories.

Great-looking knife Brian :)

Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund Thanks but I think you overestimate my Powers ;) I'm not sure about doing those EXACT calculations in m'head....Measurements have never been a problem for me (anything beyond mental arithmetic is though...) it's a bit like acquiring languages, familiarity. Living and studying in Britain made me understand the bizarre antique measures and driving on the left... but then I discovered American Pints, Gallons etc smaller than Imperial . What:eek: be like having French Metric and Scandinavian Metric🤪 Maybe it's because Americans don't like the word 'Imperial' ha ha! Talking of measuring, I long ago gave up trying to master the ratios thing with fuels for chainsaws or Strimmers, got to buy ready-mix otherwise it's too smoky or else a seizure....As for voting for taxes nobody does but they come along, I stopped voting ages ago, democracy is an illusion of choice with the delusion of accountability.🙂

At least with Traditional knives all measures however small, make a big difference to the feel and handling of a knife. By contrast Moderns tend to be enormous and that's a reason I have only a couple of them, aesthetics is not actually measured in inches or centimetres

Just received this wonderful gift from my friend, bigfish64 bigfish64
I've been wanting a Sway Back Jack for some time now.
I had the Gent, but it was too thin and didn't feel great in the hand.
This two blade feels amazing in the hand and you should all expect to see it A LOT in this thread.

Of course, in the slip is my Waynorth Lambsfoot, which will be in the pocket too.
