What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Beautiful knives. 😍 How do these compare to GECs?
Thank you for the kind words my friend .
I bought the Taylors Eye Witness knives back in 2015 and 2016 and at that time they cost what GEC does now . I personally believe that GEC ergonomics is better than TEWs . The GEC quality level may be a little Higher than TEWs , but the TEWs are certainly usable and the newer ones that I have shown all have Stainless blades and Brass liners . My Older TEWs have Zero stainless and they are still very solid and get used a lot . GECs are basically hard to get for whatever reasons but TEWs are easier to get but they Did Have Long Wait Times after the order , but back then I ordered them directly from the Factory . I originally ordered the TEWs Barlows because I could not order ANY GEC Barlows and I was just starting to Collect Barlows . I would encourage you to get at least one TEW and see how you like it . Some of them may appear Too Pretty to use though .

Tritip in the smoker with oak pellets. Cool smoke ring coming off the Amazin' tube. Have a great weekend!

It was a couple of days into summer after 7th grade ended that I got to ride a three wheeler for the first time, roaring down the dike on a friend's rice farm (in the Pleasant Grove area, so pretty close to where you work now, actually). It was a couple of days before summer ended and I started 8th grade that I got the armpit-to-fingertip cast removed.
Yikes! No fun spending the summer with your arm in a cast, especially with the heat around here. There’s a reason they don’t make 3-wheelers anymore.

This 2017 Calf Roper came with this slight upswept grind on the sheepfoot blade back when I got it, at first I thought I'd send it back but that was fleeting. I love this sheepfoot blade just the way it is. I use a straightedge blade often, moreso when I was in the trades but still day to day cutting a straightedge is my go to blade.

If I may jump in, I would agree with everything Harry said, he is the one that really got me interested in the Barlow in particular. Not a very recent picture, but it is definitely one that is too pretty to use. The Amboyna burl is spectacular. 😊

I am happy to see that you jumped in with your opinion also . I personally think that a lot of people are missing an opportunity . Many of us are spending a fair amount of money on knives that get carried but never used , but I do use my Lambfoot TEW .

Back to the Remington today. Staying home for the next five days. Got a rough doc's appointment coming up in Klamath Falls, Oregon next Wednesday so I've gotta home carry some nice knives to get me in a good mood. Might manage a trip to the Wagon Wheel Cafe on Tuesday but it's doubtful.

It was all happening, today non stop excitement 😇

Sun was out so forced myself to go out on my E bike for exercise (feeling cold and lazy),the sun went straight back in again as soon as I left my house 😁

As you can see I took old faithful with me.

Went past this ancient flooded meadow where us commoners/serfs are allowed to graze our animals for free,I saw some of the horses where back making the most of it.

30 years ago I had a photo of windsurfers in the local newspaper at the very same spot when it had flooded even deeper.

My coffee when I stopped was served by the son of Nick Kamen who knew some musicians I knew as well (he told me he's a musician starting of).

I told an old lady I liked her hat and had a 5 minute conversation as she told me all about it,I think it made her day (its not always the big things). 😍

Came across this interesting boat on the river, some kind of emergency recue boat must be very hard to capsize it.

I fell asleep exhausted in my chair when I got home,I woke up couldn't remember where I was or the time 🤣

Prepped some extra vegetables to add to my spaghetti Bolognese sauce using my original 01 Sodbuster, theres few knifes better to use than this one.

The spatula I bought in NZ from a local knife maker from indigenous wood,he made fixed blades or I would have bought one (worried about taking on the aircraft).
