Nice stag on both!
Very happy that you enjoyed Egg Harbor . We have never been into Harry's but was told once that it was O.K. I really wish that we could have hooked up , but that's the way it goes . When @halfstop Ron and his wife were here in March 2019 for the Badger Blade Show , we took them to the Egg Harbor Restaurant and they really enjoyed it and specifically the coffee cups . Some time later , we bought them some and gave them to them when we saw them in Titusville at the 2019 Rendezvous .Speaking of the “Wise One,” Harry and I weren’t able to meet for breakfast before we headed home this morning, bummed about that, but we did take his advice about driving on the ice and a breakfast place. Thanks Harry, Egg Harbor was fantastic! View attachment 1747956View attachment 1747958

Back in about 1972 my friend and I were going to build an Ice Boat to sail on Lake Geneva and we read up on things and found out that operating an Ice Boat was Very Dangerous . We then came down to Lake Geneva and went out on the ice in that area right behind where you folks are standing to watch the ice boats . There were lots of ice boats out on the ice back then . We watched one smaller sized one come in being piloted very skillfully , it did a small turn and parked it and out jumped a Kid probably no older then 12 . We still never built the Ice Boat before the friend moved .Had a great day hanging out here in Lake Geneva, Harry’s county. It was 50 degrees and VERY windy so there was a lot of water on the ice but we did get out on it for a short walk and a picture. View attachment 1747588
Then did a little shopping and saw this. Hard to tell from the picture but it’s a hammerhead shark made with an axe, very unique and super cool. I almost bought it but after putting on my glasses I saw the decimal was in the wrong place, thought it was $125.00…nope it was $1,250.00![]()
We do not eat there very often John : Lake Geneva is a Touristy type town filled with folks mostly from Illinois . When we go out for Breakfast , we go to a small place about a mile from us Called Local Folks , which is appropriately named . Food is great and about 2/3 the cost . Going there impresses absolutely No One .Great picture and amazing looking breakfast.
Harry eats there... they're probably used to it.![]()
Come on Peter !!!! Cut that apple . He wants to drool !!!! Really like your 83 my friend .![]()
Every night this dog and I split an apple. Last night was no exception.
I’m an NL fan and I could go either way on the DH. It would change the strategy for sure.I hope not. I've done a 180 on the DH. Growing up in Detroit I was used to the DH and liked it. Mostly because it gave older players who could still hit, a couple of more years. Kirk Gibson comes to mind. He could still hit, but couldn't run so good. OTOH, having lived in MIssouri for 38 years and watching the Cardinals, I've become a big fan of making the pitchers hit. The strategy in later innings can get quite interesting as coaches try to balance using a pitcher for another inning or having a pinch hitter step in.
Today a favorite:

IRJ is looking good. Nice mug at the restaurant, too. It looks very similar to the one I use every day. Sounds like a great weekendSpeaking of the “Wise One,” Harry and I weren’t able to meet for breakfast before we headed home this morning, bummed about that, but we did take his advice about driving on the ice and a breakfast place. Thanks, Todd. It was a quick, uneventful trip home. But years from now you kids won’t know that, still to this day my kids remind me that I quit after 30 minutes.
I know, to me digging through our garage is beneath them, but then I don’t have to deal with Bear issues so I’m sure others feel differently.
Great knife Bart, have a safe trip home.

Wow. What a pair! Every one of those stag Barlows I’ve seen looks really nice and of course the Waynorth lamb is great.
Funny you say that Harry because my wife and I both commented on how nice the mugs were!Very happy that you enjoyed Egg Harbor . We have never been into Harry's but was told once that it was O.K. If you're short on roofing nails, I can send you the ones I found last year after sweeping the yard with a magnet, after the roofers were done.
