What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

You know, it is. Thank you, Todd :D

As it turned out I actually used the blade, the punch and the screwdriver today View attachment 1756284

...taking apart part of what I put together yesterday so I could put it together right this time 🤞

Had six Allen heads to deal with and I managed to bugger up two of them. Uncharacteristic of me. I've had this bike a long, long time and I've never messed up any of the bolts up before, and here I go and do two of them in one day View attachment 1756287

Just checking to see what time Fastenal opens tomorrow ;)

Another pic form this morning.

Mass hysteria!

You need one of those SAKs that have allen bits!
Nice Pairing and nice little ducky !😊
I thought for sure you might remind me of my shyness to blade etches when I posted my carry today.
I traded a neighbor for two knives yesterday, both with blade etches and had to laugh at myself last night. 😉😂😂🤣
I will have to be careful not to over use them and lose the etches I suppose .......................... or do what I have occasionally done in the past and let patina take care of them. 😇
I am sorry for your loss. 😞
First, thank you. Five years this coming July.
Secondly, see below Harry’s quoted post!

@Primble~ THIS is the kind of blade markings even a klutz like me can’t wreck.
Still carrying the Camillus pen knife, but today I put this little Queen #85 in my vest pocket.
Lovely Queen, and great vest!

Thank you, Todd. :)
Here in California, I could do great just carrying those two flies... Caddis and Prince... Throw in a Wooly Bugger and I'd be set. 😃
It's probably been 24 or 30 years, but at one point I got really into fly fishing for a few years. Towards the end of that time I realized that I probably caught more fish on a basic black ant than I did on every other fly combined.

Best way to deal with those pesky etches.

I think just about anywhere you could do great just carrying those three flies (at least in the West). In fact, if I was to go to a new river that I knew nothing about, and could only choose three flies, it would be those three.

Great looking Case Mark. 😎👍
I carried my urban jack today.

The Urban Jack looks great Bart, such a nice green. 😎👍

Hard to beat a black under some overhanging branches. It seems like the best fly is the one you have the most confidence in. Mine is probably a fly that was developed years ago by Ed Story (Feathercraft Fly Shop in St. Louis) for Ozark streams called the Crackleback. It’s a very versatile fly that can be fished dry and then pulled under and swung when the drift is over. Dry fly and wet fly in the same cast! Also tied with a bead head and fished as a nymph. Sometimes it’s the only fly I use all day. 😊👍8562F4B0-BF7F-423E-8C03-4EB5BFD31A10.jpeg

Very versatile fly that you could tie in lots of different ways and in different colors, for sure. 👍

Thanks, Todd. I think the color and the jigging came out nice on them 👍

I fish dry flies way more than anything else and I tend to favor caddis. I’m sure I could catch more if I’d branch out more.
