Those will definitely work too.I probably caught more fish on a basic black ant than I did on every other fly combined.
Yup, out West you really can't go wrong with just those three.I think just about anywhere you could do great just carrying those three flies (at least in the West). In fact, if I was to go to a new river that I knew nothing about, and could only choose three flies, it would be those three.
Caddis are everywhere in our parts, so makes sense.I fish dry flies way more than anything else and I tend to favor caddis.
My go-to pattern is the Parachute Madam X... Could be a caddis, a Stonefly, or a Hopper depending on what the fish is looking for.
Thank you, Jack.Great pic John
Hope you're having fun at the Market, Jack.
Thanks, Todd!Very cool colors Bart.

She purty John, I’m sensing a green theme.
I have now!!
Lovin’ the green! And St. Paddy’s is right around the corner…
Nice,Todd! I’m not usually one for acrylics, but I love the Pheasant Acrylic on that one. Love the etch on it, too. Great pick-up!Got this one recently, really like it. Now I’m looking for a two-blade 56 with different covers to go along with it..hint…hint!View attachment 1756749
