That Ohta is one of the most beautiful slipjoints I've seen!Still astonished by the Ohta, but added a modern fixed blade (not shown) and another one of my favorite GEC models so it has a friend.

Thanks John, it sure does!Thank you, Todd.
The Lil' Rattler or the SBJ are usually in my watch pocket for work.
Great lighter. I'm sure the weather has you thinking about fishing too.![]()
Yep Bart, the sleet is finally gone, but if our pattern over the last few years holds up, we aren’t quite finished with winter yet.Well that will melt the sleet and wake the fish up! I’m still holding out for a winter storm here.
Man that’s pretty Gus!Been away for a few days and not willingly I might add, but duties have called and have been answered.

Great story Jeff, thanks for sharing it.I don’t smoke, but I like Zippos. After my son passed away, I found his Zippo among his things and put it in my pocket. Bought a bottle of Ronsonal, and some apare flints, and got used to carrying it. Comes in handy for the smoker, fireplace, and when I worked for the retired nurseryman, huge brushpiles of my prunings.
Somehow, I misplaced it, so snagged another at the flea market. Of course, I then found Jason’s, so now I have two. I am resisting becoming a lighter collector, but next time I go to the flea market, and if I see a cool Zippo like yours, and if I can chisel them down to five bucks like the last one...
And I just realized this coming weekend is the monthly flea market!
Sorry for rambling. Here’s another knife photo. I have been carrying this pointy CRKT in a very secure sheath, in my pocket for the last few months. It’s copied from a traditional Japanese pattern, but made in the USA.View attachment 1755965Edit to add~
I like to wear this boonie hat. It was my son’s. It’s faded from the Afghan sun, and has been there done that.
Oooo, that’s a pretty blue Mike.
Lots of pretty blue here today, and the Olive wood looks fantastic Jon.
You’re very welcome Jeremy. Those two wooden babies look fantastic together.Skoll has a new partner today thanks to the extreme generosity ofbigfish64 , who offered me his cocobolo 77 at his cost after I struck out at getting any of the other 77s that were recently released. Thanks, Todd, your kindness is very much appreciated.
